Cry havoc is a tournament held by the Dunfermline wargaming and role-playing fellowship (D.W.A.R.F.) which in turn is the wargaming club I have the good fortune to be a part of.
This year cry havoc is holding a 1999 point tourney which is to say the least interesting. There are no lords obviously and special/rare choices are now limited quite drastically. Honestly I’m quite pleased; it should logically mean no cookie cutter tourney lists and super lords capable of destroying entire enemy armies. The balance of armies could quite easily shift dramatically in this.
Quite simply, this seems like an ideal opportunity. The question however becomes, how to exploit this to best effect
I’ve got until the 30th of may to create and play test a dwarf army for the event and I’m quite optimistic of my chances. Antimagic can logically be handled by a single rune smith and some magic resistance runes. Shooting becomes a somewhat bigger factor as well making me inclined to field a gunnery heavy force (though not play it as a gun line).
I’ll keep this updated as I go, Arkeh out.
