To do: LOTS!

Well, another week has passed with not a great deal happening and a lot stacking up. To be done in my life this week are, in no particular order:
-Paint a model for a hobby duel, or at least make a start on it.
-Do some more on the sniper team I'm doing for another friend
-Decide on my ToP minis for this week.
-Take a driving lesson plus practical test.
-Visit my dad to pick up some tickets for the NFL match in London this weekend.
-Travel to London.
-Call a venue to ocnfirm my wedding date.
-Go to work (only twice this week though, I'm on holiday from Wednesday! Woop wooop!)
-Write an application letter to GW for the management training programme they run.
-Update my CV for this and few other places.
-Visit my fiance a few times.
and in all of this find space and time to eat and sleep.
My ego and timetable aside, I took a few minutes earlier to ponder about the amount of stuff I'm giving away to people in the next few weeks. Not only is there the sniper squad for one friend and the figure I'm painting in the duel to another but I'm also giving away a third in the secret Santa and yet another to the husband of the second (though my fiancee will be doing most of the painting on this chappy.)
All of this got me thinking about the life of a commission painter. I know that there are some good commission sites out there and that people can, and do, make a living off the profits. However, as someone who did a little bit of commission for a friend a while ago (a long while, when I was 15 if that!) I know how long, tedious and time consuming it can be to paint a mini that ultimately the guy who you're giving it to is entitled to turn round and say that it sucks and ask you to go back and paint it again. I can't imagine how much more it must hurt to have to do this on an almost daily basis, plus having to piant models to the best of my ability, fall in love with and then have to keep giving it away. I'm doing it a lot at the moment, but I don't think I could do it THAT much!
