This is all stuff that people will have heard from other pundits already so feel free to skip this. I do plan to go through group by group and analyze them all though, as most comment seems to be focussed on Groups C and G.

Group A
A fairly bland group, but a good one for omens for the host nation. England had an identical group as hosts in 1966 (and we all know how THAT turned out!). I favour France to gou out, with the SA and Uruguayans to go through.

Group B
Argentina are the favouurites in this group but it isn't a strong one. However, I could see any of the 4 teams doing well.

Group C
Enough's been said about this group. England plus one. USA get my vote. Could shock England 1-1 in the first game.

Group D
Germany and Australia in this one. Ghana and Serbia probably won't be strong enough.

Group E
Again, this is a group with one clear favourite (The Netherlands) and 3 countries the potentially could qualify, possibly apart from Japan. Even they can't be written off though.

Group F
Italy and Paraguay. One of the easier groups to predict.

Group G
Any 2 besides N. Korea. Pity them as they return to the WC,they sure ai'nt gonna get any mercy in this group. However, a good result for them could be the make or break for one team in this group as the other three look to cancel each other out.

Group H
Spain have an easy group, much the same as England. Chile are my bet to go through with them.
