I'd like to tell you a tale of my love affair with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. The story I'd like to tell you begins sometime in the late 80's when, upon reaching the age in which I first began to develop a real interest in popular music, someone played for me the album "Tender Prey" and I was a devoted Bad Seed from that point to this.

The Day the Earth Didn't Blow Up

Well, the LHC has rumbled to life without causing a catastrophic event. Despite the fact that there was no evidence to indicate it would, I must admit having a morbid fascination with the idea of scientists building something that would blow up the earth.

According to a statement made and then recanted by Martin Rees, the LHC had a 1 in 50 million chance of causing a catastrophic event. I don't know enough to comment on the science, but here's a fun fact - if his estimate was correct,

Fanboy War on Fox?
