had my 1st game of 8th on 8/8/10

me and my mate rolled for and got

Organ Gun



Deployment i won the roll for deployment with a 4 to his 1, my warriors and melee master where forced into reserves while his RS organ gun and a unit of Quarrelers where forced into reserve


Turn 1
As i had won the roll for deployment and he failed to roll a 6 i had the choice of 1st turn which i gave to him


he brought on his units forced into reserve and opened by trying to blast my FC Xbows with his bolt thrower thankfully missing completly his cannon following suit opened up and bopunced spectaculary in the wrong direction
his rangers opend fire killing 2 Xbows from the FC unit ending his turn
I opened by bringing my warriors on as close to hes organ gun as possible while being remotly safe with terrain
i moved both my xbow units forward int he hopes of killing some stunies as he had craftily deployed just out side my rangestill out side of raneg for shooting despite carefully manovering Bah i also moved my cold ones round he buildings to get a betetr chance of charging for the winds of magic i rolled a whoping 8 dice 5 + 3 giving the damned dwarves 6 DD i failed to channel any more and to make matter worse i failed to cast PoD by rolling a 1 Grr no magic this turn then



so endof turn 1 dwarfs kill 2 Elves 0


Turn 2
no movement for the dwarf gun line he just opens fire again the BT and cannon fail to find their marks wile the orgn gun mows down 3 of 5 cold ones RAWRRRR the quarrelers then try to put the reaming cold ones out of thegame but fail tokill any thnx to the nice 2+ save the knights have fortunte smiles on them how ever when they pass their panic test
the Xbows move into range ot shart shooting althoug @ -3 to hit 1 long range 1 moving 1 for multi shot but with 20 shots from my 1st unit i mange to hit and wound 8 times not bad for -3to hit and S3 how ever he makes all but 1 save .sigh my warrios and remaining cold oens line up to get the organ gun next turn my magic phase was just as bad this turn i manged to get 9 PD with 5 +4 again he gets 6 DD but nvm i decied im gonna skip PoD for now as i do have 3 other spells to play with so i open with a powered up Purple sun on 7 dice but dang and blast it i only roll 18 + 3 for wizzard level gives me 21 4 short of gettign it off .cry o again no magic


Turn 3


again he forgoes moving hes BT kills 3 Xbos form FC the rangers manged to kill 2 more the cannon miss fires but fails to blow up the organ gun only kills one cold one but the thunders finish them off the quarrels cant draw LoS to my warriors due to the organ gun
my warriors charge head 1st into the organ gun my xbows that are still full fail to do any ting my ranged master however uses lifetaker to do just that felling another ranger my SSorcers manges to get 8 PD this time with 4+4 giveing the dwarves only 5 DD i decied to put all 8 into Purple sun powered up and cast it on a 32 wth a triple 6 to boot well its cast and he cant stop it so Hahahaha it sucks his RS right out of the game and gives me 1 PD back thnx to life leaching but the MC it cuased loose's me 2 levels the purple sun and to add insult to injury i loose PoD but well the big one is now in play my warriors + the melee master make short work of the organ gun but as a result go off board to come back later and that was the end of our game due to thetimer set at the begining as we only had an hour to play

Dwarves - 285 VP's
Dark Elves - 365 VP's
