After reading through some of my old white dwarfs and hearing about an up-coming 1000pt tournament that will be running at our local gaming group, I decided to collect another army; actually, more precisely another 2 or 3 armies.
So, having been inspired by the good old 'tale of 4 gamers' I have decided to do a similar thing. I am going to document the processes of collecting another army - from start to finish. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I plan to.
The only problem I have come across is the fact that I am building 3 different armies at once - so, in due course, I will atempt to document all 3.
For interested parties, the armies that I am collecting this time around are Imperial Guard, Eldar (Biel Tan) and Imperial Fist Space Marines.
I'll get the first article up over the weekend sometime (or failing that on Monday).
Cheers,

Moving on to the mainstay of any army, troops! My next purchase, and one that I am still putting together, was the Battleforce boxed set. I was somewhat surprised at the reasonably good value that I got out of this box – I am actually going to use everything in it (unlike some other Battle force boxes I have previously bought).

Now, being the generally lazy person I am, I first assembled the 5-man combat squad. On a side note, I am one of those players who thinks everything counts in...

Imperial Fists Space Marines – for me these guys, along with Eldar, are what got me into 40k in the first place. I still fondly remember the first White Dwarf I bought that featured a battle report between Imperial Fists and Orks.
Then there was the novel Space Marine by Ian Watson and I fell even further into the grip of these proud warriors.
Then I started playing the game and promptly collected Dark Angels because dark green was easier to paint than yellow. So, while I am a fluff-addict...
