[Hobby] The dead sleep no more...

Not the most exciting update, but an update nonetheless.
I've assembled and primed 20 Zombies, mostly as a diversion while I wait for more bits to arrive. I've got tons of State Troop bodies, arms and shields en route, as well as various command bits, skeletal arms and skulls. The vast majority of my army will be blocks of Skeletons supported by Grave Guard, mainly winning through sheer weight of number than martial prowess. I've knocked out a few test models so far, it's going to be a ton of work chopping arms, hands and heads, but the effect should be well worth it.
The final decision on my Grave Guard conversions still hasn't been made yet, though I'm leaning towards a basic mix of Greatsword and Knightly Order bits. I plan on fielding blocks of hand weapon and shield troops, so I'm leaning towards using the Greatsword torso/legs with Knightly Order heads, arms and shields. I'm still trying to find a suitably nasty looking weapon to use for them though, and I still need to consider arming half of them with hand weapons and shields and the other half with greatswords, just in case I decide to switch how I run them. No immediate plans for Black Knights, but they'll be built in a very similar fashion using Knightly Order legs rather than trying to cut and reposition Greatsword legs for mounts. I'm nuts, but thats just too crazy even for me.
I've converted an Empire Warrior Priest into a Vampire who will, sadly, more than likely be replaced at some point. I plan to use him as a starting point as far as my fluff is concerned, essentially a vanguard for my larger force. Down the road I plan on using the Empire General kit for my Vampires, letting me build rather flashy characters that should stand out among the ranks of the dead.
Once I get some photography issues sorted out, I'm going to try to start (and maybe even update!) a WIP thread, as well as semi-regular blog updates.
I'm hoping to track down a decent gaming group in the Toronto area as well. Depending on my luck, I might start doing fluffy battle reports again. Have to put that English degree to good use somehow.
