IG Games 16-20
So once again this isnt my 16th game with IG, i've been playing them for over six years and hundreds of ames before this tally even started.
Game 16. 1750
This game was a true test of my list against MCs. I had to deal with 3 daemon princes, skarbrand the Khorne greater daemon character, and Skulltaker on a chariot. My vendetta and autocannon sentinels were the stars of the show, with the autocannons being shaken and having weapons blown off they charged on turn 1 half of the chaos daemon troops, horrors of Tzench with their pitiful S3 and tied them upmfor the entire gam,e, the Vendetta put 6 wounds on MCs throught the game allowing my other units the bring them down.
Game 17. 1750
v. Craig (My Twin, forum name Mr. Biscuits)
Here I faced another entirely deep striking army and castled up, losing a squad of sentinels (2 autocannons 2HKMs) to a TLautocannon assault cannon dread when it dropped, the sentinels were across the board threatening rear armour of dreads should they hit my castle. My forces were able to hit his army and slowly wear it down by staying in their transports so he'd have to deal with each threat twice, pretty standard. Craig forfietted late as he had no real way of winning the game and was hurting after some bad difficult terain rolls.
Game 18. 1750
This game was much too close, with the greater daemon character that lets him re-roll invulnerable saves taking up almost my entire armies shooting 1st turn and both demolishers missing a squad of packed up horrors with the changeling it was a rough start. His nurgle prince multi charged 2 chimeras blowing them both up, (he really needs to glue that things wings on) and then jumping over my wall and hitting the vendetta (the plasma squad ran off the board after he blew their ride and couldnt shoot it). Marbo killed 7 bloodletters by himself when he ame in, only to have the ramaining three charge him and be cut down as he drew his last breath. I finally managed to finish his last scoring model with the final multilaser shot of the game, a 35.5 inch shot through cover while it went to ground, too close, capture and control spearhead is tough for IG.
Game 19. 1750
Another heavy deep strike army, that's 4 in a row. This game went well for me, his deathstar unit of Dante 4 death company with jump packs and power weapons and Lemartes was destroyed by two demolishers after landing and he had trouble recovering. Some sniper scouts met the hull heavy flamer and Marbo killed the scoring unit on his objective. Erikson suffered from not having much anti tank and my mechanised IG list really hurt him (6 Chimeras, 4 sentinels, 2 demolishers and a vendetta).
Game 20. 1750
Andre played a mechanised BT army which was a refreshing change to my previous opponents. In this game I was the agressor popping his tanks relatively quickly and then staying just out of assault range. Near midgame I converged on his left flank as it seemed weaker and took an objective there, along with the one I already held I allowed him to expend his forces trying to keep the objective on his flank and at games end all he had left was a missile launcher Initite and a very wounded captain standing among two demolishers he had destroyed himself (My tanks took 4 dangerous terrain tests, and failed all 4, including the demolisher in my deployment zone out of range of anything for mostt of the game).
