So it tourney time again and looking at my last blog post I am of a different mind now than I was. I have found some new motivation and success in my lists but as the new codices come out - I am feel I am losing touch with the progress of the game!

Another weird item is that this new GT in Vegas is 2,000 points! I was perfectly happy at 1750 and even at 1850 but 2,000 points kind of stretches the list too much I do not feel a Wych Cult list really gets better from 1850 to 2,000 points. My current 1750 list looks like:

The strength of this list is obvious, I have 6 scoring units and 10 contesting units - most opponents usually have 4 scoring units in an "all-comers" list and rarely 5 scoring units but that is when they see my 6 and adjust their lists to match me.

So this is my "core" list to expand from and at 1850 I sense that is where I am grasping for good choices that 100 points can bring me. Options like:

A fully tooled Dracite which is around 98 points or
A reaver jetbike squad for tank hunting for 95 points or
A min/max warrior squad or raider squad or
Just adding more wyches and wargear

So I am going to try to use that 100 points for adding Lelith and a retinue so just imagine having 7 wych squads (with one lead by Lelith and is non-scoring) setting across from you ready to go "flat out". On paper, she is looking like an unique distraction unit that can be can set up on the front line and be able to pick whatever drug I need to match the enemy - not bad flexibility and since I already have all 6 troop choices filled, her retinue is probably the most useful of the above options.

I am not so certain this is the path I am going to take getting to 2,000 points for the Vegas GT but there is a RTT for 1850 the week before the Vegas trip and I am going to do a hell a lot of play testing between now and then.
