So I have dropped the Wych Cult crusade and decided to use a Coven list - totally different play style, a whole new set of special rules to explain and I get to showcase some special customizations as well.

My list so far,

6 Haemys, drugs, destructors, scissors, and one has the shadowfield and animus vitae
6 Grotesques on a raider that deepstrikes (has 4 Haemys riding along).
5 Raider Squads (one that deepstrikes with 2 Haemys
1 Warrior squad ...

So it tourney time again and looking at my last blog post I am of a different mind now than I was. I have found some new motivation and success in my lists but as the new codices come out - I am feel I am losing touch with the progress of the game!

Another weird item is that this new GT in Vegas is 2,000 points! I was perfectly happy at 1750 and even at 1850 but 2,000 points kind of stretches the list too much I do not feel a Wych Cult list really gets better from 1850 to 2,000 points. ...

I don't post lists much but I am starting to play-test lists for the September GT. Here is the most likely list I am going to try out next. I have tried a similar list with Lelith and have won 2 games with it so far so this is an alternative list based on it.

Archite - punisher, t-helm, plasma, combat drugs, shadowfield, t-rack and animus vitae.

Dracite – agoniser, s-pistol, plasma, combat drugs and t-rack

4x Wych Squads – 6 wyches total, ww, plasma, ...

Well despite the goings on in the DE forum I am very excited about going to this years GT Las Vegas in September. I have always wanted to go and to play 6 or so games in 1 and a half days sounds like heaven. Only problem so far is getting used to 5th edition rules and finding “harmony” with a Dark Eldar list. For me, “harmony” means a list that allows me to play the style I want, have the capacity to be competitive and still be something I look forward to playing without having the “is the grass ...

Not sure if I like what 5th edition has been doing to the Dark Eldar forum. I understand its different but it just doesn't "jive" with our extremely old codex. I just can't take advantage of vaguarities and loopholes so I am asking myself, am I being a fossil? Am I over reacting?

Right now, I am watching my fellow DE players fall into the trap of using loopholes - its depressing. Its just a matter of time before I lose respect of those who I have always got along with - ...
