This blog is set up to showcase my army and the things I do with it. I'll be showing pictures of my converting and painting, as well as posting Battle Reports and Tactics I use.
My army is an Imperial Guard force made from entirely Ork models. Every model will have at least minor conversions.
So check back here every so often. I'll have lots of pictures and write up some Tacticas once I get a few games under my belt.

MORE PICS and Some other Stuff

I got a vehicle painted and did a little plasticard work on it. Have a look.
Same scheme as my army. The little skulls and fangy things around the turret are plasticard. I painted them blue because my army is Deathskulls clan and they like blue. :] Gives it a bit of an orky feel.
I also did a bit of work on my Vendetta and some Lootas. Check my army album for them, I'm only allowed 4 pics in blogs apparently.
The Autocannon is a Predator one and it might be my favorite model so far. The Boy in the cockpit is an AoBR boy, I cut his legs off and pinned him in but he can be taken out for painting and transport. It hides the IG legs nicely and looks like something an Ork would do.
In gaming news I've reconsidered my plan to play Orks in the tournament. I'd have to buy a lot of extra models and I don't want to do that right now. I'll be sticking with IG and I plan to test starting this Friday.
My list goes like this:
CCS w/ 3 Plasma, Banner, Astopath
Chimera w/ ML/HF
Marbo
Platoon
PCS w/ 4 Flamers
3 Squads w/ Autocannons
Platoon
PCS w/ 4 Meltas + Chimera w/ ML/HF
2 Squad w/ Autocannons
Platoon
PCS w/ 4 Meltas + Chimera w/ ML/HF
2 Squad w/ Autocannons
3 Vendettas
3 Demolishers w/ HF
I have 35 points to play with, I have a few options but can't decide. Fell free to give some advice, I also have a thread up in the IG forums but it's fallen by the wayside.
I'm going to keep painting over the week and getting modelling work done. Hoping for another 2 squads this week, my other 2 Chimeras and maybe a Russ.

Me likeses what it's seeing!
About the cardboard skulls: ever considered cutting fangs in the denture part of the skulls and maybe make the head part round? Personally I think that might look even better.
On the list: looks pretty good to me!

Yeah fangs are a good idea, it's a lot harder to cut those out than I thought, so I'm building my skills.
I don't even know what I'd mount in a fourth Chimera, everything I have with Flamers/Meltas/Plasma already has a ride. I'm thinking of dumping Grenades in every unit but that'd be even MORE modelling. Bleh.Posted October 30th, 2009 at 05:28 by The Prince of Excess
