Dear All Concerned,

I don't understand what the world hates about "nerds", "geeks" and such, so much! What is the big deal? So what, someone is smarter than you, or has different interests than you, should they be put to death for it? Just because people are insecure and can only continue in life by putting down others proves how much THEY need to get a life, not us.

    I have experienced that people who complain about nerds and geeks often are people with no depth knowledge in anything

    To this "disease" and those afflicted by it, I can scarcely manage the empathy needed for a condescending wave-off to accompany my dismissive scoff.

    Anyone still tossing around the labels of "nerd" or "geek" in a derogatory context is likely clinging to some adolescent sense of glory days. Too bad the real world functions rather differently.
