I have only started brets not long ago and made my army list. So far, I havn't lost 1 battle when ive played loads of games against goblins & orcs, dwarves, tomb kings etc.
lance of artois
virtue of joust
virtue of duty
dispel scroll x 2
the ruby goblet
Banner of Chalons
Men At Arms(x19;103)
Banner of Defense
My army has tactics. I heavily rely on the Green knight. I try to get him in early so that i can get the enemy soldiers to run off the board edge because of the terror tests. In one of my first battles, i made 80 night goblins and 15 black orcs (with grimgore ironhide in the unit!) run because of terror and only 40 of them went off the board(the rest kept running). Another good thing about the army is the grail knights(with both paladins and damsel on horse(THIS IS ONLY 3 OUT OF 4 CHARACTERS(i cant have a damsel on foot in a grail knight thing, DUH)) automatically get +5 on combat reso. and +6 if it is infantry or something with unit strength of 1. Please help with any advice, it would be helpful.

First of all your General may not have the Virtue of Duty. It cant be given to the general.
Your BSB cannot have a magic banner AND a magic weapon, one of these must go.
Loose the power stone from the damsels, i dont think these items are very good. Take another Scroll instead. Also i think the 1st damsel has 2 Arcane items, (sacrament and potion) so she too is illigal.
The Green Knight is a fantastic Lord.
Your core choices look good. Id say loose the banner and champ from the archers, and give the M@A HW/S instead of spears.
The Pegasi don't need a full command, you can afford to loose the banner safely enough i think.
As for using the saved points, get a unit of 6 or 9 Errant Knights with FC and the Errantry banner. There are great against other Fear or Terror causers.
thx. if u read the army book, the bsb has the virtue of duty, not the general. the damsel has a 40 pt sacrament and a 10 pt potion making it only 50 pts so shes not exactly illegal for she can choose when to use her sacrament whenever she wants. other than that, i made some mistakes anyway and undercalculated my pts. so it wud be hard for me to do some of that.
Its illigal as she cannot have more than one Arcane magic item. The sacrament and potion are both arcane. Drop the sacrament, its almost useles now with the new rules.
As for the Virtue, its just your General is listed as having it in your army. The BSB is fine with it.
First off, welcome to LO and Bretonnia! I hope you enjoy both greatly. Now that we are done with the formalities, lets move onto the list.
-First off, your General cannot have the Virtue of Duty. (you have both Padadins listed as having it) Also this is illegal as well. The Virtue of Duty clearly statess that it may only be given to one character in the army.
-You said in your strategy that you put all 4 characters into the unit of Grail Knights. In my opinion that is a huge mistake in multiple ways. First off, the Grail Knights are the only hammer unit you have before you inset characters into them. Adding all 4 characters makes them a huge hammer unit, but also a huge target. That unit if killed, will yeild roughly 1000 VP and is almost half your army points wise. You would be much better and more balanced sticking 1 Damsel in with the Grail Knights, 1 Paladin in each KotR unit and one of the damsels in one of the KotR units. This way, you have your characters spread over 3 units, giving you much more balance.
- If you move your paladins around, you can drop the Grail Vow off them, saving you some points.
-Sacrament of the Lady is a worthless item in 7th edition (literally as there is no more dice pool for dice sharing) so never take it until we get a new book.
-Your Damsels are probably going to be worth the most as 2 x level 1 wizards. You don't really have enough magic power to do alot even with 2 level 2's, so make them level 1's and give them scrolls, its our main form of magic defense.
-The Green Knight is a solid Lord choice, however he is unreliable. (sometimes you won't get him until turn 3 or 4) You need to figure out whether a Bretonnian Lord would be of more use to you. Personally at 2k I would go with a Bretonnian Lord and add the Green Knight as my 2nd Lord at 3k.
-Your KotR units are fine, Banner of Chalons can be dropped if you need a few extra points.
-For the Men-at-Arms, I find the spears upgrade to be a waste of points against alll but possibly Undead, and even then its average at best. I always find myself to be using either HW/Shield for the extra save, or Halberds for the extra S. Also, drop the champion from the unit, he's not worth the points for 1 extra WS 2 attack.
-Drop all of the command options on your Bowmen. They aren't worth it at all. The only one that is close to worth it is the musician upgrade. The other 2 are CC upgrades, and you should never have your Bowmen in CC. Take the points you saved from the command drops and make the Bowmen skirmishers.
-Drop the Full Command on the Pegasus. Again the upgrades are not worth the points. Champion is free for them, thats all you need.
Some things I think would help this list:
-Unit of 9 Knights Errant with the Erranty Banner
-Possibly another unit of Men-at-Arms
Hope that helps. Have fun with Brets!
just read up on da arcane items, thx & for the prob with archers and grail knights, solved it with banner of defense
