Necrons 1000 points 4/1/0 W/L/D
Necrons 1500 points 1/0/0
Necrons 2500 points 0/1/0
I SHALL RETURN!!
I prefer this list to the ''Better Attempt'' to be honest.
Again the BSB cannot have a shield or lance. The green knight is awesome so id say its fine to keep him.
As for the Grail Knights, wl you be running your Heroes with them too? Even if not, id say drop the units to 5 or 6 wide, and dont use them in lance. They are really expensive knights if you just want another lance in the army.
Drop one of the KotR units and get a 9 Knight Errant lance unit, with the Errant banner and FC.
I would say look at getting some skirmishing pesant bowmen into the list too. They can be handy.
Alrighty Enochi, here we go. First of congrats on getting Bretonnia started up, really a great army. Now lets look at the list. I'll try to keep my list suggestions based on an all cav force since that seems to be what your aiming for.
-The Green Knight is a very good Lord choice, however, he can be unreliable. Sometimes he won't come into the game until turn 3 or 4. Personally, I think he is an amazing choice for a Lord at 3000 points, but at 2000 I prefer a Bretonnian Lord. They are very cheap, and can be outfited to be quite nasty.
-Your BSB. Wow, 231 points! Pretty expensive man, almost 4 times his cost naked. Banner of the Lady is a huge points sink at smaller games, and in my opinion, it looks better on paper than it really is. I would really suggest dropping it from your list. Stick the Warbanner on him and that should be fine. Virtue of Duty, is a solid choice on him. As Deceiver stated, your BSB cannot take a mundane shield or lance, so you'll have to drop them. I'll touch on the Grail Vow in a later part of the post.
-If you keep the Grail Vow on your general then he'll atleast have magical attacks, but I think I would like him a bit better if he had a magic weapon, as Bretonnia has an amazing selection of them. The Birth Sword or the Morning Star of Fracasse would be great on him.
-Your blocks of Knights of the Realm are solid choices. I think you would be better suited to drop a block of them for 9 Knights Errant with Full Command and the Erranty Banner though. It will give you another hammer unit.
-Your Grail Knights will have a ton of hitting power, but I think that your enemy is going to shoot them to death early on (especially if you stick your General and BSB in here). I would drop them down to 5 or 6 men. That still gives you plenty of killing power and makes them alot cheaper.
-I would advise very, very strongly against putting your characters in your Grail Knight block. First off, it makes your characters more expensive as they have to buy the Grail Vow. Secondly, why are you doing it? Your Grail Knights are already CC monsters and do not need the help killing things. Also, that 11 man Grail Knight unit went from being a must shoot target to an absolutely must shoot target. Its roughly...700 VP if its gets killed, plus 200 VP for your BSB and General dying, and another 200 VP for your Standard Bearer and BSB if it dies in close combat. 1100 VP potentially in total. Wouldn't you be better off with you General in one KotR unit, your BSB in one KotR unit and your Grail Knights solo? In my opinion you are, as you now have 3 hard hitting units, and your opponent has to think about what he wants to shoot.
-Solid as a rock everything has a 2+ save or better barring your BSB.
-Massive hammer unit in the Grail Knights.
-All Cav, so its fast.
-Green Knight, very strong model for a cheap price.
-No Pegasus Knights??
-Only 1 hammer unit
-All your eggs in one basket
First off, Pegasus Knights will really help out this list. They give you some hard hitting fliers and they can hunt mages/warmachines. A unit of 3 with a champion is all you need.
Next, Damsels. You need some badly. 2 of them are pretty standard for a 2k Bretonnia list, and they are very helpful. Not only do you get to stick dispel scrolls on them and get Dispel Dice from them, but the unit they are in gets Magic Resist 1 as well. Without Damsels there are a bunch of armies (Tomb Kings, Tzeentch, Skaven, Empire, Lizardmen w/ Slann, High Elves, Dark Elves, and Vampire Counts to name a few) can all make your life totally miserable.
Also personally I find all Knight fluffy, but I think you will get tired of it quickly. They are the least tactical army Bretonnians can field, and while strong, are very one dimensional. Peasants are cheap units that are quite amazing. Also, I think you'll find that you will very quickly be considered a powergamer and will have to take the flak that comes with that for running an all knight list. That, and playing against this list would be fairly borning for your opponent as well in my opinion. However, if you enjoy it, go for it. As long as your happy with your army and how it plays, than that is all thats important.
My two cents, I appologize if its a bit on the long side
