Here's my first attempt at a Bret list:
Damsel, Warhorse, Dispel Scroll, Dispel Scroll
Damsel, Warhorse, Chalice of Malfleur
Battle Standard Bearer, Warhorse, Warbanner, Virtue of Discipline
5 Knights Errant
6 Knights Errant
5 Knights of the Realm
Skirmishing, braziers, vilein
5 Mounted Yeomen
Total: 980 pts
I was wondering what anybody's suggestions were for this list, and where the extra 20pts could go.
Well, you have definitely gone verkill on the anti magic. At 1K, you dont need to worry that much. Drop the 1st Damsel for a Paladin, just basic setup, (horse, lance, shield) to act as your general say possibly loose the other Damsel too. Id even
Only have 1 Knights Errant unit, make them 5 or 6 strong (id say use a single rank over the lance in small point armies) and give them FC and the Errant Banner.
Take 2 other Realm Knight units, put the characters in these.
The bow unit is probable a bit too big, and the Villien is almost pointless,swap him for a musician or loose him all together.
Not sure if shields are necesary for the Yeomen, but id say give them a musician too.
Drop the Damsel with the Chalice and add in a Paladin to act as your general. Keep lance formation for all the knight units in my opinion, as you might just get the extra rank which is helpful. Knock the bowmen down to 15 and drop all command on them.
Stick one Paladin in each of the KotR units. You could even think about putting the Damsel on foot if you can't get a 3 rank Knight unit, or you could mount her and just have a 7 man knight unit.
Knights Errant should have the Erranty Banner, always. Make them a 6 man unit so they get a bonus rank. Don't stick characters in with them, as you don't ever want to force a character into a charge you don't want him in.
Also, I think you need to find the points to put 3 Pegasus Knights into your army. They are too good not to take.
Ooh i forgot about the Pegasi (i was tired...) Anyway just to back Spector's point up, definitely have 3 of these. No extra command is needed, though maybe a musician can come in handy.
