Tournament Lists

What up everybody. There will be a tournament held at my hobby center really soon and it looks like its going to be a good one. Every person will first start out with a 500 point army list, and after 3 matches at this level, it will go to 1000 points, and so on and so forth to 2250 points. There is no elimination from the tournament and the point is to see how many points u can get and its just the fun, standard kill everyone senario and nothing else. I usually fielded two paladins (BSB included obviously ), 2 units of 5x knights w/FC (1x Errant, 1x KOTR), and 10x Skirmishing bowmen with braziers. This time I wanted to try a different approach so tell me what u all think.

*Paladin BSB:
-w/Warhorse, HW

*(5x)KOTR: (w/Paladin)
-w/Full command

*(15x)M@A:
-w/Standard, Musician, Polearms

*(15x)M@A:
-w/Standard, Musician, Polearms

*(14x)Skirmishing Bowmen
-w/Braziers

So as u can see, I have the BSB w/the knights to make it a small, but effective lance and the 2x units of M@A and the bowmen for the numbers and for the fluff of a peasent themed force , but only going to try it at 500 and maybe 1000 points. Will post the battle reports and the 1000 point army list a soon as the first stage is completed .

I'm assuming you only need the 1 Character at 500 then...

The Knights and BSB are fine, maybe shrink the Bowman unit a little, the M@A could use a few more in terms of numbers i think, 20 each would be ideal but possibly a little too much of a stretch.

One hint, dont run the 5 Knights + BSB in Lance, run them as a normal Cav unit would be run, 1 rank, 6 wide. Youll get 2 more attacks on the charge, and lots more attacks in prolonged combat. In addition you are less vulnerable to warmachines (just don't be silly enough to expose your flank lol)

Thanks for the reply phoenix . but after testing it out I will be running the knights in the lance still, but I switched some points around and one of the knights for a paladin to give the lance of knights some more hitting power. I already tried it out against some dwarves and it did well, so heres the new list:

*Paladin:
-w/Barded Warhorse, Lance, Shield

*Paladin BSB:
-w/Barded Warhorse, HW, Standard

*(4x)KOTR
-w/Full Command

*(15x)M@A:
-w/Polearms, Standard

*(15x)M@A:
-w/Polearms, Standard

*(8x)Skirmishing Bowmen:

Total: 500 points
