    2000pts new to the army

    Ok I just love the idea of the glittering knights of bretonia a image i have kept for the last 5 or 6 years of chaos and tomb knigs...
    now I want to act and to field a army of resonably powerfull bretonian units...
    Here is the draft quite character heavy but i think there are still loads of knights...

    Lord
    barded warhorse
    lance of artois
    Mantle of the damsel
    Gauntlet of deul
    Virtue of confidence
    enchanted shield

    Paladin
    BsB
    barded warhorse
    Gromrill greathelm

    Damsel
    Chalice


    Paladin
    Questing vov

    plan is to let the lord go crazy hitting enemy characters and to ride in tocombat in pairs of lances. have the yeomen go round the flanks and pegussi go for warmachines lastly the questing knights stay on a flank and charge in where nessisarry.

    so what do you think?

    Nice Lord. A little bit more defense wouldn't hurt (ie Enchanted Shield or Great Helm). I've never used the Mantle but it's looking more and more worth the points recently.

    One option is to give the warbanner to the unit instead, and give your Paladin the Great Helm to help keep him alive.

    I prefer Birth Sword of Carcasonne. It is +1 S regardless of the enemy and force reroll AS...seems more useful in more situations than sword of heroes. Unless you use the QK pack against specific enemies (ie big tough things!)

    Good. If you can fit the Chalice of Malfleur on a damsel, it's worth it in my opinion.

    Not a popular choice with everyone but I like them.

    3 pegasus knights

    Very good. Normally 4 is optimal...but 3 do most jobs really well. Just try and protect them from shooting.

    Looks good. If you need extra points to entertain the options I suggested, I would just drop a lance down to 5 (6 with character) and use it as the supporting charger.
    Also can't squeeze in a trebuchet? It's fun to use, can destroy a unit and will give you something to do in the shooting phase.

    I could drop the virtue of duty for greathelm and warbanner will be moved...

    second damsel will be taken droping a scroll for the chalace (save 5pts and 6pts from the old paladin)

    I chose sword of heroes for the sheer amount of lizardmen armies springing up!
    (Cant argue with d3 wounds that cheaply)

    but what I will do is drop the horses on the damsels and take lore of life! that way I can hide at one end of the battlefield and hurt the enemy (if apropriate spell is rolled).

    The list looks really good.
    Lore of Life can be phenomenonly good given the right circumstances.

    17 pts could go towards putting the damsel back on a horse...Chuck her in a lance. 10pts for MR1 is a pretty good deal!

    I can't think what else to do with it.

    thanks for the encouragement!

    I had my first (heavilly proxyed) game with these guys on wednesday and there awsome! It was against a slann army with the skink on palaquin to...

    he pretty much ate one unit of knights but the rest hammered him a solid victory i now have enuff Brets to field 500pts... so I hope to get a couple of games in today.

    had 3 500pts games yesterday (with real brets hazzah no more proxy for me!).

    First against lizzards smacked em to the tune of a massacre...
    He let both lances charge one unit of saurus with scar vet beat them over-ran then turned and did the same to the second unit...

    I lost 2 knights errant...

    Second game was ogres my opponent was savvy to my tactics and stood both units right infront of me. I charged killing all the bulls (2 rounds of combat) but my knights errant (errantry banner) fluffed there attacks then were destroyed only the BsB was left.
    he fled (twice) rallyed then made his way to the remaining iron gut and bruiser they were busy takeing apart the remaining KotR who fled. then the ogres were charged in the rear by the BsB cut up the ogre (inflicted 3 wounds none saved) then his bruiser flufed his attacks!

    I won by a minor victory as I ran down the enemy general had and had a banner...
    Hazzah im not beat yet!

    Third game lizzards again after he re-rit his list...
    I faced a unit of sarus and 2 so skinks...
    he re-directed my charges exsposeing flanks rolled a double one (and a 6 but hey thats not important) so he got a flank with his scar vets unit. now by this time there were no knights errant left only the BsB the knights of the realm now tryed there luck haveing routed the skinks. wining combat by 3 on the charge loseing one knight the lizzards stayed. and eventually won (just only there scar vet left) so a minor victory for the lizzards.

    Probably anouther game today.
