1000 points. First Bretonian list. Feedback appreciated

    Hi all
Im usually an O+G player, I've been toying with the idea of a small, new army for a while and seeing as I've just been given a Bret's rulebook and a box of Knights, thought I'd give them a go.
It will probably be a while before I actually use them. i have quite a lot of Orcs to paint etc.. first, but, have been playing with some lists.
I'm going to start at 1k, once I do get that all painted, i'll probably build slowly from there.
So, what do you all think of this 1k list?
I'm a little worried about the total lack of magic, but, thought it would be a nice change to have a big pile of Horsepower charging across the field of battle!

    Lord
Bretonian Lord - Warhorse, Lance, Shield, virtue of the joust, lance of Artois, Enchanted Shield, Dawnstone (+2 STR, Killing blow and re-roll failed to-hits on the charge, 1+ armour save and re-rolls to failed saves)

    Hero
Paladin - BSB, Warhorse, Lance, Shield, Dragonhelm, Potion of Foolhardiness (1+ Armour save, 1-use devestating charge)

    Core
8X Knights of the realm (Lord here)
    8x Knights Errant (BSB here)
    9x Knights Errant
10 x Peasant Bowmen (Skirmishers, Brazier)

    Traitor!

Hey welcome in the brett Forum :p

Not having a damsel can swing both ways so i have no real advice on it, i tend to bring at least one with dispel scrol at 1k, just in case i end up fighting vampires or whatnot. (she replaces a mounted knight, so that saves a few points)
The knights are definetly the way to go and fire shooting archers make excellent support.

Our BSb is one of the last happy few who cannot use a shield. Out the window with that 1+ save :p
Now the average Brettonian bsb is a prime target for enemies in combat, i'd prefer the initiative potion over the Foolhardiness, because that extra attack might just come too late.

    question:
your lord "re-rolls to failed saves". Whats this? and is he using a shield and an enchanted shield? :p

Thanks for the welcome and the feedback

I completely missed the BSB rule, oh well, he'll have to leave his lance and shield at home.
Can he still have a magical shield? I'll have to dig through my rulebook a little later.

I missed out that the Lord has a dawnstone, i'll edit that in.
I'll also give some thought to the change in potion, tbh, I very rarely use any potions, but had a few spare points to spend.

I think I'll pick up a Damsel model at some point, will definetly be adding one once I expand up to 1500 points.

I don't believe he can. I think it says no macig equipment other than the banner. Another idea would be to put the BSB with Errantry Banner with the KE. Something to try.
Also welcome, its always nice to see another bret player.

i don't think you can give your battle standard bearer the errantry banner, i think you have to put it on the knights errant standard bearer, i am not sure though, but it would be for the same reason that you cant give the bsb the valorous standard

yup, confirmed "knights errant unit only"

i dont think the devastating charge potion is really worth it, i know it is only five points but i think that the initiative potion would be a better buy if you are absolutely set on a potion, but i would probably just take another archer or something

You're right lion knight, thats my bad. And i agree I would take the initiative potion if i had to pick one of the two.
