im currently building a 1000 pts army; because im still trying to adapt to bretonnia style (former HE player) i would appreciate any useful advice on how to build a well-balanced army, knowing that i'll face a variety of enemies (skaven, empire, tomb kings, chaos, lizardmen and wood elves)
here's the list
Paladin General) (enchanted shield, sword of might, knightly vow)
+ 5 Kotr (full command)
Paladin BSB (knightly vow)
+ 5 Kotr (musician)
Damsel (lvl 1, 2 DS)
+ 5 Kotr (musician)
6 Knights errant (musician)
10 peasent bowmen skirmishers
Points --> 981

first of all, welcome to Bretonnians, it will be a big difference after playing HE
not a bad start, but it is top. in a 1000 pt game you dont have to worry to much about magic, so either drop the second paladin or the damsel, or at least drop some of the items from the first paladin. then you could make a small unit of KOTR and a large one. place the general in the large unit, and the BSB in the other, and then you could try and get some combined charges, and flanks with the smaller unit. otherwise i like this list, and it is very similar to a list i have been using recently.
but doesnt the armybook specify that a bretonnian army must field a general and a BSB?
someone told me that pegasus knights will be a lot better in 7th edition...do you think i should wait till the release?

i´ve made a few changes
Paladin (Knight vow)
+ Damsel (lvl 1, 2 DS)
+ 7 Kotr (full command)
+ 5 Kotr
5 Knights Errant
10 peasant skirmishers
i like the second list more, and it resembles many of my lists (small units of knight w/peasents)the army book specifies that you read a BSB, but since every army also needs a general, the means that bretonnians must have a general AND a BSB at all times. you do not always require two paladins though, since you can have a damsel as a general and a paladin BSB.but doesnt the armybook specify that a bretonnian army must field a general and a BSB?pegasus knights may be marginally better in 7th edition since they can now march block all units (even skirmishers) but they are already an excellent unit, and usually make back most, if not all of their points, since they work as a typical skirmisher/flyer plus they have a enough weight to actually take on units and contribute to the fighting. in your list they would probably fit in well since you have many small, mobile units. and even if you decide to wait to play them, it wont be long (september 9, :w00t: )someone told me that pegasus knights will be a lot better in 7th edition...do you think i should wait till the release?
