Alright. I am a new Bretonnia player and my twin bro plays as Dwarves. He is planning on getting two squads of 25 slayers to his army (gulp!) and i was wondering all of your opinions. How would a Grail knight squad do against a sqaud of slayers? WHO IS BETTER?????? :drinking:
Slayers are going to give you fits regardless of who you hit them with. In order for the typical Bretonnian plan of "Charge, Break, Repeat" to apply, you have to destroy them utterly on the charge, which doesn't seem horribly likely.
You've got the speed to control most of the combat, so use it - avoid the little buggers until you can hit them with more than one unit. If you do take a unit of Grail Knights, you certainly don't want them to get bogged down in multiple rounds of combat with the unbreakable slayers.
As mentioned above - Coordinate charges. Use grail knights, KoTR, and maybe even some Pegasus Knights.
Hit them in the side, the front, the rear, hit em everywhere. Your going to want to hit them with atleast 2 units at a time to pull this off. Also, if need be, just try to avoid them. Your alot faster than he is...
Well with 25 Slayers, they will be taking up a rther large chunc of his points. No doubt he will have a few champions too, and possibly even a character.
With all those points tied up there, just ignore them as best as possible. Take out the rest of his army with your full force, and when thats dealt with, turn and bear down with everything on the Slayers.
