as the title sugests i wat to know how good knight errants are they seemgood on paper but how go are they really? what do you use them for? how many in a unit? how many units? are they better then knights of the realm? or should i just skip over that army entry? Any answers will help thanks all
Personally, i think they are a must in most, if not all armies.
Take one unit of 9 in lance form, give them FC and their banner. S6 and immune to Psych on the charge, who cares about them being impetuous. They are great at fghting norml troops, but the above really come in handy when your going up against monsters that terror and have a high T.
Against Fear causing armies, such as VC, TK or Ogres, a whole army of these guys can be great, as you wont need to take fear tests to be charging!
I'm just starting Fantasy, but I must say they seem like a lot of bang for the buck, I plan on using quite a few groups o' nine.
A group of 9 in lance formation in my opinion is a must in most games. Don't stick characters in the unit, they don't need them.
Errant is a must it's like, giving them your army on a silver platter
I can be 2 things at once.
Gods gift to the world, and his biggest mistake
sweet thanks for the replys guys
They are especially useful against undeads as they don't need to take a psychology test to charge. Add in the Errantrybanner and they are a kickass unit, albeit a little unreliable as they may charge without you wanting it....
