In the rumours for the 7th edition thread it says games workshop hate pegasus knight. Why?
I don't know bret's and i don't know the thread you mean but i'm guessing that (for whatever reason) gw has limited the use of pegasus knights.
I guess they just don't like the idea of flying knights. An extra charge range and plenty more attacks is nothing to sneeze at, especially when they're more resilient.
They didn't like the idea of lots of flying cavalry in an army, it didn't suit the theme and was quite powerful. They have actually said that they shouldn't have made the unit now. Really, its not that bad, but powerful flying units is quite good. I think they will be limited in next edition, if not removed. There would need to be a decent replacement though or armies would just become even more one dimensional.
The way I see it, Pegasus knights are a bit over the top. I like to use a unit of three, but I'd never take more than that because of they are power units and more would clash with the general Bretonnian theme.
That said, I'd be quite unhappy if they removed them.
