Hey guys...I was playing against a brettonian player and he brought to the table the green knight.
first of all.
He appears on a 2+ on the first turn???
If he dies he can ressurect on a 3+ and he keeps reappearing if he dies???
So the major question here is...How you can kill this thing?!?!?!?!?!?!
Yes he can come in right away, and yes he can rez himself - but note the writing in his entry - it says he appears in the remaining moves phase. This means he can move or march, but cannot charge. I've played a couple of Bret players that seemed to think otherwise Other than that, magic/magic weapons are the way to go here, but the real secret to killing him is combat resolution. Just beat him senseless with a standard, outnumber, and 3 ranks, meaning he has to kill 5 guys to at least tie. What army are you using?

Erm....actually i fought him first with dwarfs but know i am playing with orcs....so gobbos should do the trick.....
So the turn he dies....he can rez but he can only move and do NOT charge???
He's a spirit... not a living thing. So think of the fluff and it's easier to understand how he works.
On the first turn he magically appears in a terrain piece in the remaining moves portion of the movement phase on the roll of a 3+.
-- this indicates that he can not charge the turn he appears because it's already in the remaining moves step.
If for any reason he is reduced to 0 wounds, he dissipates.
-- this is him "dead".
On any turn following his dissipation, he will magically appear in the same way as he did the first time... except it's harder because you've already beat him down at least once... so you take the 3+ roll that you needed prior... and you "minus" 1 for each time he's dissipated over the course of the battle. So... first time he appears on a 3+, then he RE-appears on a 4+, then a 5+, and so on. Ya never know... for some unlucky rollers he may never reappear after the second "death".
If he's "dead" at the end of the game, you get VP for him. Whereas "dead" means he has dissipated but not yet returned.
As for reducing him to 0 wounds: use lots of magic or combat resolution. He's only US2, so he's easy to outnumber and, like adhesive said, combined with a rank bonus and a standard he needs to kill 5 of your models every phase or he'll lose combat. When he loses combat, he takes a wound for each point he lost the combat by. So that's an easy way to do wounds to him without actually having to do damage.
He cannot charge in the turn that he appears in the board???Even the first turn????
that is correct, yes, because he arrives during REMAINING MOVES whitch is AFTER declare charges, and therefore he CANNOT declare a charge on the turn he appears.

Having run the green knight i find that the eaisest way to kill him is combat res. but even this can be hard. He does cause terror. he can teleport between terrian in the remaning moves phase. And he can have a max of ten, ws 7, strength 4 attacks.
