With White Dwarf issue 362's Rush and Rend article, this marks two consecutive months of Bretonnian appearances, after what seemed like an overdue absence.
I'm returning to WHFB and Bretonnians after spending a couple of years focused on WH40K, but for the longest time it seemed like the Brets had been forgotten by GW. (More likely GW was like me; they weren't forgotten, just set aside for a bit...) I'd love to see this new attention snowball into something down the road (new plastic? new army book?) .
Both are due. Don't get your hopes up, though. GW wouldn't be featuring articles based on the old Army Book if they had a new one earmarked for release in the near future, would they?
To be honest, I'm perfectly happy with the current Bretonnians, and think we have one of the nicest looking ranges out there. There is, however, room for improvement! Paladin/Lords really could use a nice multi-part plastic kit, and as we've been seeing a lot of new character boxes popping up among other armies lately, we could always hope, right? Aside from that, the only other problem lies with the Questing Knight mini's. They require alot of effort to stop them looking like "clones".
A new army book would be nice! But we're pretty much in the dark about the next release :/ So there's really no sense sitting here twiddling your thumbs about it. Make the most of what we've got!
