Hi Ive been playing a lot of lizardmen and high elves lately and the lore of metal has been giving me a lot of trouble just curios if any of you guys had ways to get around this.
hope is the first step on the road to dissapointment
Scroll Caddies!! Some lv 1 Damsesl w/ 2 dispell scrolls each can go a long way in shutting down most enemy magic for the first few turns until you can get into combat. The Lore of Metal spell that cooks us in our armour is particularly nasty, but if you can delay the enemy spells for a couple of turns - long enough for you to get the charge - it will really ruin their plans of trying to whittle you down before you hit their line.
Thanks for the help.
do you think it would be worth it to take a prophetess of the lady to?
Damsel MR in your money units.
I really have not found anything in the Bretonnian magic phase worth it enough to spend the points for any higher magic casters than lvl 1. I just prefer to spend the points elsewhere, since our magic is only really sufficient at defense.
And, yes - Zagman is right - don't forget about the extra MR point the damsels give the unit they are in. This could mean the difference in dispelling that terrible spell directed at your unit.
thanks for the help. I'm still new to fantasy and i didn't know that the magic resistance carried over to the unit. Thanks for the help.
