Well, after hemming and hawing about it for ages and looking and Dwarves, O&G, Wood Elves, and Vampire Counts, I finally decided that Bretonnia was the army for me.
I've just bought and assembled the batallion, so hopefully it's a good start.
I don't know how effective it is, but I thought having my battle standard bearer being a Paladin mounted on a Pegasus was just too cool to pass up, we'll see how that goes though.
I do have a question about the Lance formation. Who all gets to attack in those? The new rulebook gives some conflicting info and while I assume it takes precedence, I'm not sure. Do you get to attack with all the units on the sides still?
Anyways, here's my WIP peasant archers!
Hi there Methodical... meat!
What on earth does that name stand for?
Excellent choice with the Brets! i bet theres not many players around taking up Brets right now so you be unique on that point :p
About the Lance,
In the new Bretonnia FAQ on the site it is explained.
(www.Games Workshop->Gaming->Errate/FAQ->Bretonnia )
Basicly, you get to fight with the same knights as explained in Lance rules, inthe army book, and in addition the middle knight in the second rank also gets to make a support attack. So yes, all knights in the sides get to attack.
i like the colourscheme, it somehow reminds me of the old Lego knights that were blue/red.
Warchief Diggah o da Bloodmoon Squiggahs
I haven't a clue what it stands for! I just like alliteration.
I chose the Brets because I always loved the King Arthur stories when I was growing up, and so the army really resonated with me! Looking over the Fantasy battle reports the other night, I did indeed notice the lack of Brettonian armies in it.
Thank you for the clarification on the lance formation!
Also, LEGO's ROCK!!!
Without having to start a new thread of ..."new player to X need help!" I figured I would hitch a ride on MM's thread.
I like the idea of having a rare army, I like the painted figures of Knights, I like the Fluff. magic seems good, but limited to only 3 lores
I did read somewhere that the Enchantress has all the lores, is this true? If so is she even worth taking?
Without a doubt I will field the GREEN KNIGHT, this ethereal knight of awesomeness seems like he can reak real havoc. Any Advice on using him?
