OK – someone had to do this…Although I may not be the most skilled converter, I am pretty pleased with how this conversion has turned out, so far. Obviously, I got two IoB Elven armies and did not want two Prince on Griffons, so it begged to complement my Brets. I thought I would post some pics before I started the painting process.
I wanted him to be standing on some landscape rubble and more eagle-like with the larger beak. I still have some work to do for the top of the Lord’s head, since I am not too sure about the wings – maybe some sort of crown so I could use him as Louencour, but the wings are starting to grow on me. He will also have a shield and I may possibly mount a lance to stick up with a flowing banner. And, of course, he had to have the long flowing cape!
***Unfortunately, the LO image uploader is not working at the moment - I will post the pics when it is working...
ow man! That may actually be a reason to get this starterset :o
How about a link to the picture if you put it on Photobucket ?
i'd say don't go for the lance just yet, he might just look a bit like the familiar elf wimp that usually rides it..
I'm still trying to grow the balls to post pics of my own conversion but the quality of some of the work here on LO is just putting me off xD (a WoChaos model mind you)

That's pretty sweet and as it turns out I have an extra prince on a griffon and a fiance that wants to play Bretonnians... I'm smelling a project
Very nice conversion, here's hoping to seeing your painting skills being able to do your awesome conversion justice.

Started a blog.
Really nice, I had this idea when I saw the IoB griffon, but have already made and converted my hippo. Have to say your conversion does do it justice tho, very nice. Looking forward to the paint job.
It is in the paint process now...Should have it finished by the weekend and post some pics soon...
Can't wait to see!
