    Alternative Brettonian Knights

Hello you Knights of the Lady.

I couldn't see any threads about these forthcoming figures (apologies if I have just missed it) so thought I'd share them with you as the Lady knows Brettonian players need something to look forward to until the long awaited update rolls around.

Although these are historical figures I can't help think they would make awesome Bret knights:

    Fireforge Games Teutonic Knights

I'm not sure exactly when they come out, although 'imminent' is probably the best way to describe the release date. In time for Salute maybe?

    PLAN CLAN MAN!!

    Hey Francesco,

Really? great news! I did have some doubts I was a little behind the times...

Those mounted sargeants are also outstanding, I will be getting some of them as well! Any plans for infantry sets as well?

Deus Vult sounds interesting, I do like the Crusades...

As far as Brettonians go I can see:

    Teutonic Knights- Grail Knights/Questing knights
Templar Knights- Knights of the Realm/Knights Errant
    Sargeants- Mounted squires.

The very original Brets used to have a 12th/13th century vibe to them after all...

We are creating a Game System like Warhammer or Flames of War then we will cover the late crusade's period with our miniatures: the rule set Deus Vult is in beta testing in this moment

note: Deus Vult is made by Alessio Cavatore and our miniatures are sculpted by Bob Naismith

Another feature is that ALL our kits are and will be fully interchangeable, so you can for example create a group of feudal knights or even better as we just did, make the brothers of the sword, mixing the pieces of the Teutonic and Templar Knights

our infantry will come out for Christmas

    Hi Francesco,

Sorry for my ignorance in such themes like scales, but are your knights exactly in the same scale of the Brets (GW) ?

There have been a few comparison pics around here and there, but the point is the biggest difference is in the concept of heroic scale versus regular scale. GW's Brets have significantly larger horses, so you could not mix the two in the same unit. If you had a separate unit across the board it would probably look OK, but I would stay with a whole army either regular scale or the GW version.

As far as the rider/knight there is a slight difference, but not as noticeable as the horses. The Fireforge will be a bit thinner and accurately proportioned.
Which armies do I have? Holy Cow - I've got three boys, so what armies do I NOT have??
Win/Loss Ratio? - I usually let my boys win, so frankly, it stinks...

Thanks MDSW for your detailed explanation !
I ordered one box and I am still waiting to receive.
It would be good if the scales were more similar.
I will try to use them anyway in different unities.

I really want to get a box of both the knights and the Mounted M@As - But, I am really trying to avoid temptation of buying things that I can't start within a reasonable time and I have LOTS of projects stacked up - too many projects right now and not enough time!!!

After I finish my Bret Castle (in another thread) I have some HEs to finish up, some Undead, a few Mantic minis and then about 125 WGF minis for my Samurai/Ashigaru army (and WGF just came out with their Samurai Cavalry - sweeeeet!)
