I'm curious about what Bretonnian players are doing for magic. Does anyone use The verdant heart? 40 pts is a bit pricey, but the 5+ to cast from lore of life seems pretty tempting. Has anyone tried Lvl 4 beasts? I was thinking this could work out pretty well with a many minimal cost paladins; consider a lance charge with a front rank of 3 paladins with +3S/+3A (if extremely fortunate) or +3T (a bit more likely). Right now, my list is leaning towards all heros with a Lvl2 (life) and a LvL1 (beasts). Initial thoughts are to put the lvl 1 on a horse surrounded by either grail knights or an uber Errant train wih paladins leading the way (to confer the MR(1) and hope to get the +1S+1T boost off), and boost survivability of other troops with life from behind the lines with the LVL2. I also thought giving a Men-at-arms horde the blessing by equipping the LVL 2 on foot with the sacrament, fielding her with the unit on turn 1, conferring the blessing, then falling back into a unit of archers.
Currently I use a lv4(LoL) with a feedback scroll and Crown of Command and put her with QK's. 2 lv1(Lo, one with the Icon other with the sliver mirror. LoL is just to good to pass up-2+ against miscast and I miscast alot! And duel Wildform on a unit of Men@Arms with the blessing is pretty amazing on hold down whole flanks. IMO
