Im finding it almost impossible to create a valid 500 pt army list with Brets, Errantry wars or even with the Cold Steel Warband rules. Anyone else have any trouble?

Oh, and PLEASE help be create a 500 pt army. Please.

ok, just use the warband rules (you dont need a BS
you could even do border patrol as the same applies.

take:
1 paladin
5 knights of realm - 120
5 knights errant - 100
20 men at arms + banner - 110

depending on how much you spend on the paladin, you can add aditional models to any of the units how you wish, or some command models...

well, thats what i'd do anyways...

I usually use this army and it suits me just fine:

1 Paladin w/ lance, sheild, Barded warhorse 80pts

9 Kotr w/ full command 240pts

5 QK w/ full command 167pts

487pts

But I do find that a 750-1000 army is where it starts to get easier with the Bretonnians. They choose quality over quantity, which makes them easier to use in a larger battle.

BTW BONJORDO: Your army is over by 24pts, see if you could maybe drop a Kotr.
If a tree falls in the woods and there's no one 'round to hear it is it still my fault.

My mistake, you are only 4 points over because your general is 78 not 74. I believe the lance is 4pts and the Barded warhorse is 14pts. As for the BSB, I play by the Warband rules and as mentioned by amplebob earlier you don't need a BSB. As for the QK, I was not thinking straight at the moment, I meant to say 7 KE w/ Full command and the Errantry Bannner joined by the General 181pts. This brings the total to 501pts.
If a tree falls in the woods and there's no one 'round to hear it is it still my fault.
