I also put a post on the Best Bretonnian Character list called a beastslayer lord that you may want to check out.

I find that in most cases you will be better off with attacking Exalted Demons, Greater Demons, and Demon Princes with a unit of Questing knights or possibly a unit of Grail Knights, with them should be a Paladin with a Virtue of Heroism and the Enchanted sheild. BTW I read you post, I just was trying to give you some ideas.

As long as all your characters are in units you should do fine against an exalted daemon, as there will be no stray things wandering around for it to kill. The best way to deal with it is ignore it until it goes looking for a fight. It won't be very effective as a flank charger as its unit strength is only 3 so you will still get rank bonus and no plus for him for flanking. If it issues a challenge let the unit champion deal with it and just go about hitting things as normal. The chances are it will lose based on combat resolution. Terror can be a bit inconvenient though.
