Unless of course GW has produced a FAQ or rules modification to let it work some how that Im unaware of (and will be suitably penitent if Im mistaken) then:
The prize for the most worthless magic item in any army has to the bretts for the sacrament of the lady. This lets your damsel (or prophetess for that matter) generate double her normal power dice at the cost of not being able to cast any spells. Ok Under the previous edition of the rules you could simply hand the dice to another spell caster. Now only the mage who generates the dice can use them. So is it just me or is this item now totaly useless?
Incidently does anyone know of a worse item?
If I get enough suggestions I may even start a vote to decide the issue.
Yeah i'd say thats pretty much the most useless item around at the moment. GW will have to modify it at some stage.
The standard of balance for HE is also fairly useless now I'm pretty sure. It made everything in the combat immune to psychology (so opponents lost frenzy etc.) but now immune to psychology only effect panic, fear and terror, right?
I read an article in the Canadian White Dwarf about the new rules and it said that the sacrament of the lady was the only magic item affected by the new rules.
Ask me something about Warhammer: Age of Reckoning.
The Standard of Balance in the HE book specifically mentions removing frenzy as if the opponent had lost combat so it still has "some" use.
Well yeah for harsh tournament play thats a dead item. For amongst your friends the obviously and easy way to fix it is just let her provide those PD to the general pool, which I think was the intention with it in the original wording.
