What are some solid tactics verse a mass warrior dwarf army backed by severeal cannons, the big anvil thingy and a couple squads of thunderers? Dwarves just dont want to break.
Joe Peshi (lone wolf) kill tally:Lash Sorcerer, Ghazkull, Yriel, Termi Libby, Vulkan.
Well if your playing for VP just secure your corner and pick targets that arent stubborn. If you arent and anyways keep your knights turn to only take a max of 3 wide cannon casualties. The trick is to avoid bulking up into a few units because of that blasted anvil. Then again your only hope to fighting stubborn is either a tough hippogryph or a huge CR unit that can win out on a bad CR roll.
Use Pegasus knights and a lot of damsels with dispell scrolls. Take as many knights as possible and use pegasus knights to go for the anvil asap.
Wtf?! Why on earth would you want to take scrolls against a dwarf army?Originally Posted by Bleyden
Err he said his opponent had an anvil of doom. This can be very deadly. Ive been on both ends of an anvil of doom and it can really change he game. If you dont want to waste points on dispel scrolls (just in case he doesn't bring it) then take a few more pegasus knights and make them war-machine hunters.
Your main advantage will be your mobility. Just try and get around them, once you have them flanked, they have lost there main advantage. Vs Anvil and warmachines, you'll need to use your pegasus. And WRT magic, either go big or go home.
And for the love of god, DO NOT take any dispell scrolls. You're just wasting points.
indeed the anvil of doom is under the new rules a warmachine which "casts" one power per shooting phase. it is not magic as such and cannot be dispelled. it however can missfire rather than miscast and does so alot more often.

If your going to use pegasus knights to try and take out an anvil btw you better have a lord of paladin on one as well. The problem is the anvil can basically immobilize one unit so you need two designed for the mission. In the end y ou could always get a green knight to do your dirty work =D
