So i got my squad of knights out, and played a squad on squad game with a friend, and a couple of questions came up...some rules some tactics.
1) for the lance formation, do you only get the attacks from the guys on the sides if you charge and on the turn you charge? or if u charge u get them for all of combat?
Tactics wise: i noticed that we have a low leadership, and when we lose combat its hard to stopping us from running. does anyone have a counter to this? the only thing i see is taking the one banner for 3d6 leadership, but at 50 points its costly.
also, how do you go about charging and flanking? do you send the footmen in and then charge flank with the knights, or do you charge in with the knights and then throw in the troops for numbers??
As more arise ill post em here.
You only get the extra attacks if you charge and only for that round.
As to getting a flank. Presumeadly the opponent isnt going to show their flank to the front of your assault. Since M@A are slower and can take the abuse that the front of their force will probably bring, then your more manuverable knights should attempt to gain the flank. On top of that pegasus knights are amazing for that but especially a rear charge. Take it all into consideration but that wont be the real obstacle.
LEARN TO FEAR STUBBORN AND UNBREAKABLE! FEAR IT AS A BRETONNIAN F-E-A-R
Superworld reborn. Post feedback http://184.108.40.206/~librariu/foru...ad.php?t=86340
I agree with Domstrae. FEAR THE UNBREAKABLE!!ummm, our leadership is not low. The average human leadership is 7, and all of our knights (except KE) are LD 8. And we do not have a banner that allows 3d6, and I doubt that one exists for any army, since it would probably be the best/most overpowered banner in the entire game.Tactics wise: i noticed that we have a low leadership, and when we lose combat its hard to stopping us from running. does anyone have a counter to this? the only thing i see is taking the one banner for 3d6 leadership, but at 50 points its costly.
What army does your friend use? That might help to explain your problem with running away.
Also, you should probably give the new BRB a thorough read as it will probably clear up a lot of problems. The 7th edition rulebook seems like it would be very helpful for someone just starting out.
All the Lizardmen army have this rule, roll 3D6 and get rid of the highest one.and I doubt that one exists for any army, since it would probably be the best/most overpowered banner in the entire game.
yeah but thats an army specific rule not a banner like they are talking about
and brettonians actually have a better one as the banner he is refering to is roll 3d6 and discard the highest for all ld based tests
"take my love, take my land, take me to where i cannot stand, i don't care i'm still free you can't take the sky from meee" ;- firefly
"i'm gonna grant you your greatest wish i'm gonna show you a world without sin" ;- serentiy
"I am a leaf on the wind, watch how i soar" ;- serenity
that is actually the cold-blooded rule... and what most overpower ? an entire army with this rule or a squad of a random army ?
haha, brain fart, for some reason I was thinking that he meant a banner that gave you PLUS 3d6 Ld.that is actually the cold-blooded rule... and what most overpower ?
