Hi there, I'm just wondering if anyone has any handy hints for using bretts against khornate mortals. obviously I know he basics (ie charge) but I was wondering if there is any sneaky little things to swing the game in my favour.
before you say, I already have the mounted yeomen for warriors to chase around, and I'm debating how many characters and how tooled up to have them.
thanks for any help
1. dont try to defeat his lord in single combat. It wont work very well.
2. Never charge his units unless your getting a flank charge off as well.
Other than that, dont take any magic and trebuchets might be worthwhile(seeing as how khorne has very little to take care of them).
sorry admir, I kind of did the opposite of your plan.
I was doing fine until the unseen lurker (damned beastman shaman) charged some minatours into my knights errants flank. as it happened my knights still beat them up, largely from the intervention of a paladin in a bad mood. then my knights of the realm (with paladin-general and BS charged into one of his main units (marauders lead by the lord), my general with the armour of agiluf gave his general a good kicking and in total the rest of the unit killed 12 marauders, resulting in them leging it and getting run down. then the second unit of marauders wheeled round and got unseen lurkered into the knights of the realms rear. meanwhile 2 spawn were picking on my knights errant (with a now thoroughly anoyed paladin) and after a few rounds they were beaten up (resulting in an overrun move into the shaman with predictable results). meanwhile the knights of the realm were in a bit of a buggered possition with my general dying at the hands of his BSB, then his BSB dying at the hands of my BSB. by this time the minatours had regrouped and charged into the flank of the knights of the realm with predictable results, yes they failed to do anything with one being slain in return. by this time the marauders were fed up and legged it, leaving me with 2 units of (admittedly knackered) knights and him witha minatour.
I was pleased
my next problem is that after all of these years I've finally beaten his chaos, but he has started a strigoi army for that champions thing at GW. I'll have to find a way to get masses of CR (probably just by killing lots of stuff).
Just give them a hard time by lapping around there flanks and rear and front and all over the place if you can. they wont be able to handle it.
A Promise to a dead man means nothing.
