Everybody on the forum says questing knights are horrible, but i think they are worth it!! Heres why: They are just as strong as KOTR, but continue to strike at strength 5. In addition, they re-roll any failed psychology tests and retain all the benefits of the regular knights. It is true that they are not as devastating as they used to be but for only 4 points more than a KOTR i think they are very reliable, hard hitting, and tough.
First off your wrong about them striking at S5 all the time. With the new rules for mounted models carying great weapons they will only get +1 to there S instead of the +2 models on foot get, and there still striking last. Having a army that has a 16" charge range odds are your going to be the one doing the charging so it usualy is worth it to save the extra 4pts/model for a full unit of KOTR and get +2S. You are right though that its nice to have the re-roll for your psycology but unless GW makes a speciel rule that lets them have there old +2S i cant see them being anything more than a support unit for pesants.
Actually, questing knights do always strike at S5 b/c there base strength is 4.
