SO I am now building and tinkering with my army formations. And I wanted tog et advice/inpout on how I loaded out my squads. I have basically three kinds,
Breaker-Designed to cause massive breaking damage,
Flanking/support-6 man squads designed to provide flanking charges, or an additional lance hit to a charge.
Standard 9 man- There to do what i need them to do.
Here is what I got.
MAIN BREAKING UNIT-
Knights of the Realm-
(I added the heroes tot his unit to force an enemy to worry about grail knights, AND this unit)
Virtue of Knightly Temper(Add one additional attack for each wound given ont he first round of attack)
Armor of Agilul-Gives him WS 10 (For other charrie fighting)
Gauntlet of the Duel-Challenges cannot be declined fromt his character
Gromril Great helm-Adds to his Save, giving him a 1+ save with re-rolling wounds.
banner of the lady-No ranks for charged enemies
Virtue of duty +1 Combat res
10 Knights of the realm w/full command.
15 attacks on the charge with a static res bonus of-6
1-Virtue of duty
Witht he ability to possibly score anotehr 4 attacks.
Is this a good breaking unit?
"Give me reason ot suspect you are a Heretic, and I will come down upon you with the Wrath of Rogal Dorn."

Space Wolves of BulvaiDaemondeth-

Favored Enemy: Orks and Space Marine
Black Knights Chapter: (DIY S.M.)

Favored Enemy: Orks
You can't have two magical armor at once so you have to take either armor of agilulf or gromril helm. You may want to confirm that from somebody else though.
Otherwise the unit looks powerful but I guess some people here might argue it's "too much eggs in one basket".
Hes right on that, take the helm over the armour though imo.
Also, you can make it even more deadly.
Whack a damsel in the middle of the unit for Magic Resistance.
Give the unit a warbanner, further Res.
Give the general the virtur which denies the enemy resolution from outnumbering
With all that, charging a 20man enemy unit with full command head on
They get Banner
(nothing for ranks, or outnumber i they did)
3 ranks (maximum is 3)
Virtue of Duty
You win by 7!
Then kills on top, if the enemy di outnumber you at the start, they wont at the end!
Basicall, the unit i used to use when i played brets, it hurts, but if the enemy makes it flee before it gets to combat, then it a LOT of points gone.
I think the only reason that the unit is "too many eggs in one basket" is because of the Banner of the Lady that the BSB carries. For its points, in my opinion, its not worth it, not even close.
Ask yourself this, for the same points spent on the Banner, you could have:
-5 Knights Errant
-5 man MY unit
-3 Questing Knights
-2 Grail Knights
-1 more Cheap Paladin
