I like the Daemon / Tzeentch themed army, lots of Inv saves for all those anti-MEQ weapons out there

    Thoughts?

Why two shooting powers? If you must have two why not pick one of the pseudoguns and grab Warptime?

Shiney. I'm not sure how I feel about a Greater Daemon in such a small list (whoever you sacrifice was probably important - here you circumvent that simply by denying the champion his potential) but that certainly doesn't mean it's a bad idea, it just means you should adjust your strategy (i.e. make sure the unequipped champion stays safe until the summoning).

Sure. Sticking to the old Sacred Number, I see. I'm not sure that's a terribly strategic idea but it's certainly fluffy, and it looks like that's what you're going for.

The Lightning Claws should really be a Power Fist. Lightning Claws are great on ICs, but Power Fists simply outperform them when you can hide them in a squad like this.

    Yeah, yeah.

Interesting. I'm sure you know the only thing wrong with this squad (7 instead of so I don't really think I need to go into it.

Overall: Looks like a pretty well balanced list, my own gripe is that you will be fairly slow footslogging everyone, and because of this your Raptors will probably die first and quickly.

I agree with Simon here, you have to shoot at the same target and these are both used against different targets... Pick one and then get either warp time or GoC.

The Lightning Claws should really be a Power Fist. Lightning Claws are great on ICs, but Power Fists simply outperform them when you can hide them in a squad like this.
Normally I would disagree with Simon here. This squad is likely going to draw a good deal of fire on the way in in which case you will most likely find yourself down a few squad members before you even see combat. This also means that your AC will potentially be taken out before getting his hits in however I have to say that I would run this guy as the bare daemon vessel as he is more likely to be where you want him to be when it comes time for summoning.

I have to say that for footslogging lists your troops should be either 1k sons or noise marines as they can move and still fire out to full range. This means that the lack of rhinos does not hinder them as much as it does normal marines.

If you are determined to keep the normal marines then I would attempt to find the points for plasmas over meltas in the normal marine squads as the extended range will most likely help out.

List edited. Dropped second psychic power for 8th meat-shield on HB Havocs.
Swapped war-gear between Raptor/Marine ACs, to use Raptor AC as summoner.

I have no idea what you mean about the summoned daemon numbers, thats just what I went with / had the points for ^^

Maybe the Heavy Bolter Havocs could be dropped for 2 Rhinos, Warp time & something else.

    This is just a thought.
Your CSM-squads will be up close, where the enemy small arms fire is most frequent while your Havocs will be out of range from most stuff bar Heavy Weapons.
IMHO it could make more sense to give the MoT to them instead.

That's true, but there are plenty of weapons in most armies that function as small arms and still negate armor saves (Plasma/Melta, Fusion, Rending stuff, I've been out of the game too long to name more but you get the point). I think you can't really rely on where the low AP weapons are going to be pointed and you should put the Icons on the squads you want to keep alive the most.

Yeah, plus the Havocs are more likely to be able to make use of cover saves, considering that they wont be moving around like the CSM squads.
As Simon says () there's plently of nasty short range plasma/melta etc out there.
