    1. I don't really think the Combi-Melta gets you much. Honestly, this guy should be in combat, and even if he gets one shot off with the Melta portion of the gun I don't think you're going to make the xx points you spend on the gun back (unless I guess you're playing against MEQs or very good at picking targets, but that's sort of an unreliable way to spend points I think)

    2. I really think you need to change the Power Fist. I understand that it's sort of almost like a hidden powerfist, but the trouble is that with Independent Character rules you have to be 2'' away to attack anything (2'' form the actualy IC, not from any part of the squad as for ACs) and when you strike at Initiative 1 your enemy is just going to remove casualties from around the IC.

    3. As much as I love the idea of Lords with retinues, I don't think they ever function very well, although this is admittedly usually due to mobility issues and I guess they have Rhino so this is probably the least important issue if you want to keep him in the squad.

    See #3 above. I also just don't like Lords in Terminator Armor but for me that's more of a personal preference (wait for some other people on the forum, they might argue this point a little better), and there's certainly a beautiful model for it. I think you might just be better off making a nice Champion for the Terminators, as the Lord is a bit expensive to be stuck in a squad (and if you take him out of the squad he's gonna be a bit slow)

    Sounds good, I just don't see the purpose of the extra TL Bolter, as the LR will hopefully have its two TLLCs pointed at heavioly armoed targets. Also, consider Dæmonic Possession instead of Extra Armor, it'll keep you alive longer.

    Great, I think you should just grab a second Meltagun & Flamer (respectively) to optimize their special weapons-ness (i.e. each squad has two of the same weapon to make sure they effectively tackle whatever they go after). A Power FIst would also be optimal but with a small squad like this you'll probably lose enough "men" before you get into combat that it won't make a difference.

    I'm guessing you mean Dæmonic Possession, in which case I think you should downgrade to Extra Armor if not remove the defense totally. Other than that Berzerkers will serve you well. A Champ with a PW or PF would be nice.

    Ten men & one Lascannon... Seems like a waste of points to me. If you really want this squad at least invest in another weapon (Plasma Gun?), but 170 points for a single shot per turn is probably not going ot make its points back very quickly (especially when the Lascannon will be pointed at Armored targets that the Bolters can't damage.

    I'm not quite sure what the purpose of these guys is. If you can't find the points to maybe give them a Champion or at least a special weapon I would have to say scrap them entirely to put the points somewhere else.

    Fair enough. I don't really know because I don't yet own a Defiler so I haven't made or played any lists with them, but the rest of the people here seem to think that poutting two extra DCCWs on these babies is the way to go. I couldn't really say why. More specialization, I guess.

    cheers for the help

    Im not really happy with the two units of CSM, to be honest i only put the second one (75 pts) in to get up to a reasonable points total. I also dont like the 10 man squad as i dont see what there going to do. How should i get a second troop choice in my army??

    Is it worth converting some more CSM into beserkers and getting the ma rhino to bolster my assualt?
