Hey guys, if I equip my dreadnought with a missile launcher, do i get to choose what type of missile it fires when it fire frenzies?
I would say yes.
In which case Good tactic.
You could probably play that if the dread fires at freindly forces allow the opponent to select the ammo and if the dread fires at enemy forces choose the ammo yourself. That would be the sporting way to do things but there are no rules saying you should. Using the general shooting rules the player owning the firing unit chooses the firing mode not the other player from the target.
If you don't want your opponent to choose between frag & crack you could always argue that fire frenzy dreads aren't thinking right. Afterall a dread armed with TL heavy bolters and a TL bolter will hapily fire frenzy against a land raider (freind or foe) that it has no chance of hurting. They also do tactically silly things such as firing TL Lascannon at grots because they are 1" closer than a killer can.
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
yes, you get to choose, ther are no rules about random missile types, so normal rules would apply
Everything you have been told is a lie!
great! thanks guys.
