Ok, I've posted one or two Chaos lists over the last month or so. Trying to get a second army ready. I think I've finally come up with a solid blueprint for my new army, its fluffy, its nasty, it has a strong CC element, and it just happens to use about every figure in the box sets I need to buy to build it. $$ Which is nice, buying a whole box for one or two guys is a pain.
Chaos Sorcerer -145pts
Lash of Submission
Terminators (6) -240
Champ w/lightning claws
4 Combi-Plasma Guns
Noise Marines ( -200
8 Sonic Blasters
Noise Marines (6) -140
Raptors (10) -280
2 Melta Guns
Raptors (10) -270
2 Melta Guns
Havoc Squad ( -210pts
4 Missile Launchers (Autocannons?)
Not sure if autocannons or missile launchers are better, but I'm leaning toward missile launchers. I figgure they will be better against most frontal armor, heavy infantry, and hordes if I can use lash to pack my opponents models close together.

I'd stick to the Missile Launchers on the Havocs. The Icon is a bit much as well, but I suppose it makes them fearless and keeps with your army theme.
I think the point total for your Sorcerer is wrong. Either he costs a bit less or you didn't include some upgrade he has.
Otherwise, it looks like a pretty solid list.
Oops, good catch, he has a jump pack!
The mark on the havocs is mostly for theme, but being fearless is nice and it might be useful against those armies that are more geared toward CC than mine.

I'm building quite a similar list so I think it has potential but sadly I have to poke a few holes in your plan. A sorcerer with Wings, MoS and Lash should cost 145pts and not 155pts so that's 10pts saved there. Unfortunately even allowing for this little saving your amy actually costs 1585pts and not 1500pts. So you could either drop maybe the Blastmasters or some raptors and make it 1500pts or you could add in a few things, maybe a couple of Obliterators, and make it a 1750pts list.
Also, regarding the havocs, having Mark of a God through having an icon in the unit does not make that unit fearless. Check pages 25 and 81 of the codex and note that there is a difference between having a Mark of a God and being a cult troop with the same Mark of a God.
Good luck with the army.

Oops!! Man I got the points mixed up didnt I? I reduced the noise marine squads to make up the points I went over.
Edit: Really, you dont get fearless? If thats true that really sucks.

Good solid list overall. I used the 2 ML 2 AC version of the Havoc squad extensively in the past and I like the fire power output it gives over 4 ML, but I have to agree that 4 ML with krak and frag are also really nice. Try both and decide after wich one you prefer.
As for the Icon not giving Fearless to the troops that carry it it's true. Your havoc squad is better off with a Chaos Glory Icon, they will not be fearless but a re-roll is always handy when you miss it a first time.
So I guess I'll change one raptor squad and the havocs to IoCG, also reconfig the noise marines.. Then I'll add a cutty Terminator Champion. 15pts left after all that, guess I can add a couple melta bombs?
