So, I was thinking about creating a chaos army. I currently play nids, and was looking for something that could be shooty, and involve less models, so chaos was a natural choice for that. I wanted to go for a list that could adapt to several situations, and not just have 1 general game plan. Also, for fluff, Black Legion fits, since I represent several of the chaos gods.
HQ: Daemon Prince (200 pts)
-Wings, Mark of Tzeentch, Warptime, Bolt of Change
Chosen x 9, 1 Aspiring Champion with powerfist (285 pts)
-4 x Plasma, Icon of Chaos Glory
-(these guys infiltrate)
Terminators x 5 (190 pts)
-4 x Combi-melta, Heavy Flamer, Chainfist
Chaos Space Marines x 9, 1 Aspiring Champion with powerfist (270 pts)
-2 x Flamer, Icon of Slaanesh, Rhino (extra armor)
Chaos Space Marines x 9, 1 Aspiring Champion with powerfist (280 pts)
-2 x Melta, Icon of Slaanesh, Rhino (extra armor)
Khrone Berserkers x 8, 1 Skull Champion with powerfist (279 pts)
-Rhino (extra armor)
Havocs x 8 (200 pts)
-4 x Missile Launcher
Chaos Vindicator (145 pts)
Defiler (150 pts)
-2 x CC arm
Total Points = 1999 pts

Seems like a good list, but maybe a few tweaks could make it that much better:
HQ- Seems good, but I might switch the BoC for a Doombolt, as it seems like he is a bit expensive, and you have quite a bit of AP punch on your other troops
ELITE- Chosen look good, but keep in mind that some of them will burn themselves up. Terminators are 8Y
TROOPS- CSM's look good, though I personally like meltas over flamers. I would get rid of the PF on the skull champ, it kills his init bonus from furious charge
HEAVY- Looks good, though I would personally go with 3 oblits with those points plus what you would make up with taking out the PF and switching the BoC

Thanks for the reply. All your suggestions make sense. The chosen get me excited on paper, but after a few games of them all blowing themselves up, I'll probably get fed up with them and change the squad.
I hear what you're saying about the meltas on the CSMs, but one of my friends who I play with plays orks, and I'd like to keep some amount of anti-horde in there.
Chosen are quite good with plasma weapons. Infiltrating plasma is always nasty. Dont worry about blowing yourselv up. Sure it is gonna happen, but they will cause a lot more damage than they take.
I will second the motion to drop the flamers in the csm squad. If you are close enough to really get something out of flamers you could probably have assaulted instead. And after frying som guys with the flamers you are likely to be out of range. Give them either two plasma guns or two melta guns, whatever is your preference.
All in all a solid army with no real flaws. Thumbs up.

As a side note, I reread some stuff about the legions, and it would seem that Alpha Legion is actually a somewhat better fit. Since they tend to use mostly marines, and less demons, which my list is currently sporting. Also, they are more willing to bring in members of other legions. Doesn't really do anything to list itself, but an important asthetic note.
An interesting sidenote, as a head without a body, I envy the dead.
