ok so since 5th ed is right around the corner ive decided to pack up my 5k eldar and join the ranks of the great enemy. since i currently own no chaos models or the codex this will b simply a test run of a list im starting to think about from other chaos armies i have seen. this has no points limit because like i said its just a starting point, but what i need is help 'filling the holes' as it were.
ok lets start.
8 Plague Marines - AC with PF, 2 meltaguns - rhino x3
10 raptors - AC Claws, 2 meltaguns, Icon of chaos glory (or whatever its called)
2x predator with lascannon sponsons
ok so thats whats in my head at the moment, please tell me what you think, the approx points of that list and an ideal choice for HQ and possibly elites but i wasnt counting on addind any but if there is any 'must have' units let me know please.
I would go with a winged daemon prince in the HQ. It has the speed to keep up with the rest of your army, and with no consolidate in 5th you need to connect with as many squads as possible and a DP will keep a small squad tied up (and will probably win against almost anything as well)
What once was courage has now cursed in the wars we've made.
We are the sinners, before our graves.
Owning a codex is sort of a prerequisite for the army list boards. I think it is a teeny bit cheeky to ask for points values. Even if they are approximate.
As for HQs although the princes are great on paper you need to remember that they are MCs and so can be picked out. Rapid firing anything can really ruin your day while Lords and Sorcerors can laugh as their humble bodyguards are mown down leaving them untouched...
