Right, so I'm contemplating the start of a Daemons list, and the following looks good (to me at least) on paper, but I'm looking for advice on whether it will actually hold up on the battlefield.
Here's what I've come up with so far:
Keeper of Secrets 290
Pavane of Slaanesh
Instrument of Chaos
Skulltaker w/Juggernaut 175
Bloodcrusher w/Icon 65 - to be 'as a unit' with Skulltaker
Flamers x3 + Bolt of Tzeentch 135
Horrors x5 125
Plaguebearers x5 110
Daemonettes x7 123
Bloodletters x8 153
Flesh Hounds x5 135
Fury of Khorne
Soul Grinder 185
Basically looking for advice on how well this army is likely to work, and whether I'd be better off changing it around a bit. Also, I'm not sure how I'd separate it for which half to DS first etc, so some help with that would be appreicated too.
Keeper of secrets: A bit too expensive. Try for about 250 points with Pavine.
Skull Taker: Good
Bloodcrushers: Not enough. Need at least 3 to protect the skull taker or they are just a waste.
Flamers: Drop the Bolt as it is a pricy upgrade and discourages you from using in their best role of breath of chaos.
Horrors: OK but 5 wont protect the icon for long
Plaguebearers: 7 would be better, drop nox.
Daemonettes and bloodletters: Deadly and fragile so the icon wont be very useful in these units. You dont need more than three icons in a 1500 point army, five is too many.
Flesh hounds: fine
Soul grinder: Only one vehicle is asking for all anti tank power to snuff you out after one turn. Considder a deamon prince of Tzeentch with Bolt and maybe wings or hide to perform a similar role with a lot more survivability.
