So I am new to the hobby, so I am not completely sure, if this is OK, but so far I've created this list.
Daemon prince, Mark of Nurgle, Nurgle's rot, wings
Two times this squad: 7*plague marines, plague champion, 2* metagun, commelta, power fist, rhino with combimelta.
three times 7* lesser daemons
Total points: 980
Is this OK...? What should I remove, or what should I add...?
Please remember to post army lists in the army list of each forum
As for you list..
it's very fluffy - for which I salute you.
The plague marines and daemon prince are very solid. I'd be tempted with Wind of Chaos for the Prince though.
Additionally, while there might not be much you can do about it, some ranged anti tank would be nice.
Lesser daemons are pretty ok, but 21 of them... might be a bit too much? Maybe cut down on them for some other unit types.
It should make you more tactically flexible and the list more enjoyable to play.
Thanks Karmoon. Thinking about it I might replace one unit of lesser daemons with dreadnaught (lascannon+close combat weapon with flamer) and replace one meltagun in each squad of plaguemarines with plasmagun, but that would push it a bit over 1000 points...
Another vehicle would complement the Rhinos.. Dreads have that little unpredictable side, but they're certainly good value for points.
In general, mixed weaponry isn't advisable the simple reason being, you don't know what to do with your squad.
If you shoot the plasma in anyway then you can't assault, and melta guns are great for firing before assault.
On the other hand, if you have a lot of experience, mixed weaponry squads are indeed viable provided you have a lot of them...
New Chaos is all about execution, and how you play your list. So your best bet is to actually try it and see how it goes for a couple of games.
Real experience will serve you better than most forum advice.
Also bear in mind, that Chaos isn't at it's optimum at 1000 points. I'd say we 'bloom' properly at the 1500 points and up bracket.
English version at the end. Thanks.
Even chaos can be played effectively at 1k pts. But you have to be very careful.
I play EC and 750pts are all right
I agree with low long range AT (nothing...). I will recommend drop some daemons and field predator or obliterators. Both of these things can stay little longer than dread... and don't go crazy. But any long AT is good for your list.
Nurgle guys are tough. They will do well even with low numbers.
You have bad total sum of points:
7PMs w. equipment 281 (276+5pts for icon)
Am I right?
Living after midnight, rockin to the dawn
Suggestions for your list:
Predator lascannon side sponsons, dirge caster, twin-linked bolter 140
This predator is basic long range predator + some fun stuff
