Deathguard list for a tournament comming up soon.
Any comments and suggestions welcome.
Daemon Prince, Wings, Mark of Nurgle, Winds of Chaos
7 Plague Marines (2 flamers, champion with fist)
7 Plague Marines (2 plasma, champion with fist and combi-flamer)
7 Plague Marines (2 plasma, champion with fist)
7 Plague marines
Predator with Autocannon and Lazcannon sponsons
I have tried to use the sacred number of nurgle but I am not 100% happy with that last plague marine squad. But it is mainly there to sit back and capture objectives close to my deployment zone.
i think you shoud change the 2 plasma in the rhino to 2 melta for anti-tank since the pred is sure to be focused on and the oblits could use some back-up, then you have points to give the unupgraded squad a melta or 2 flamers (melta may be better). if anything, that's all i'd change if i used this list.

I cant see any real problems with this list. Its pretty strong in most areas. It does, as nearly every chaos list does, lack AT, Id suggest swapping Wind of chaos for warp time, this will make you much more effective at rippng open the enemies tin cans and MCs.
I think the final squad of plague marines could be replaced with a small squad of terminators, geared for either anti MEq busting (combi plasma) or anti tank (combi melta).
Terminators are fun to use, the armour save hurts a lot of armies, and the ability to deepstrike can really cause havoc with the opponent.
Makes lists a bit more interesting/fun to use too.
Good luck mon brave.
I like the termie idea.
I guess I got a little carried away with Troops. Termies with some combi-plasma and maybe a reaper for some more anti-tank?
I think the combi-plasmas are calling me, I'll be converting away. Thanks for tha advice.
Classically, the reaper autocannon has always been great for nurgle.
However, that was prior to it being inflated in cost until it was more expensive than an assault cannon...
Although the range is incomparable, plasma guns still technically have the same tank stopping power as autocannons. As Dan said though, a powerfist/chain fist should help you with that.
Reapers are just... incredibly expensive, and sadly more often than not they just price themselves out of the market.
Agreed, I have been opting for the heavy flamer more often than not. It's a shame that the reaper is so expensive, especially in relation to the assault cannon which can do pretty much everything.
Considering the sheer destructive capability of the heavy flamer, it's points cost is ridiculous.
I think that Heavy flamer should have been 10 and reaper maybe 15. But, I guess that's a different thread.
