    Pre-Heresy Emperor's Children

I have been trying t decide between making a pre heresy Emperor's Children army, and a pre heresy Luna Wolves army, considering my Lizardmen are finished, and I recently discovered this thread :: View topic - Pre Heresy Emperors Children Blog , which has decided it for me pretty much. Im looking for ideas now on wether or not this list will preform at all well of be even semi-competitive.

    HQ:

    Chaos Lord (Eidolon) @ 150pts
    Terminator armor, MoS, Daemon Weapon

    ELITES:

    4 Terminators @ 155pts
    All Champions, MoS

    Land Raider @ 225pts
    Twin-Linked Bolter

    TROOPS:

    10 Chaos Space Marines @ 245pts
2 Meltaguns, Champ w/ Power Fist, Rhino

    10 Chaos Space Marines @ 245pts
2 Meltaguns, Champ w/ Power Fist, Rhino

    10 Chaos Space Marines @ 225pts
2 Flamers, Champ w/ Power Weapon, Rhino

    10 Chaos Space Marines @ 245pts
2 Plasma Guns, Champ w/ Power Weapon, Rhino

    FAST ATTACK:

    5 Bikes @ 200pts
2 Meltaguns, Bike Champ w/ Power Weapon and Meltabombs

    HEAVY SUPPORT:

    Predator @ 130pts
    Lascannon Sponsons

    7 Havocs @ 155pts
    2 Missile Launchers, 2 Autocannons

TOTAL: 2005pts, which is fine cuz my friends dont care about 2005 and if i need to enter a tourney or somethin ill drop the meltaboms off the bike champ or something.

    Please Respond.

You need to check your maths, a lot of the costings for your squads are wrong
    havocs 185
    bikers 220
    terminators 175
Im guessing your lord and termi's are going in the landraider, if so i would advise making them normal terminators, your lord will have enough attacks but lacks the big punch from a powerfist you use the points to give them a fist, or chainfist and a heavy flamer. I like your csm squads but I think they would work better with fists in the flamer and plasma squad, thats a big squad to have no AT or anything to take down a lord or MC. Be carefull with your havocs they are going to attrack a lot of attention, have you considers swapping out the pred and havocs for defilers or vindi's?, maybe even dreads I love them but their not everybody's cup of tea.

Other than that looks highly mobile, see if you could find the points for an IoS on your csm squads, would make them much better in HTH where chaos excels

i kept changing things and i was afraid the costs would be off, sorry about that, i will redo them in the morning. Defilers are out of the question, as are dreads, because as a pre-heresy army this is supposed to be 10,000 years ago and loyal to the emperor, and fluffwise i have no way to explain why a dreadnought might suddenly turn on its fellow marines, or why a defiler even existed in the first place.

I will however rework the points costs and post a new list tomorrow.

If you you just take normal terminators and drop the twin bolter on the landraider you will be down to 2000pts. If you swap the lascannon sponsons on the pred for heavy bolters it will give you a hell of a lot more dakka, then with those 30points and 5 points from dropping the meltabombs on the biker, you can give your last 2 csm squads powerfists, and your terminators a heavy flamer and a fist.

A couple of things you could also consider, drop a havoc a give your biker champ a fist, drop 2 bikes and you will have 66pts plus 5 left over from dropping the 1havoc and you will almost have enough points to give all your csm squads IoS, if your friends dont mind you being 9points over then your home free. Your bikers do turn into a bit of a suicide squad though, so make good use of cover with them after you turbo boost, go straight for tanks avoid getting caught up in hth or in a fire fight with a squad.

Love the use of that many csm's though, your opponent will most likely underestimate them until you strike first with a huge number attacks on the charge and then the hidden fists, they wont know what hit them.

The Daemon weapon is also a no-go. You could use it as some golden age of technology-item with the same rules though.

There, changed the list as per suggestions and fixed point costs so they should be right.
    Whaddaya think now?

Also, Mr. Wayne, in the fluff Eidolon uses a big hammer to fight and is still extremely skilled in combat with it like all the emperor's children, so i didnt think a power fist was good enough for representing it cuz they're so slow, but i figure getting a bunch of attacks at I6 that can instant death you is good.

Looks great to me mate, although there are a lot of guys around with more experience than I. Just make sure you look after your havocs and bikes with some cover. Be aware of your squad limitations, like your meltagun squads, although they have AT ability, in HTH with a MC they have a problem, its not a fault just something you need to be aware of when you play. Playtest it a bit and you might find it works better with the squads being more specialised. I also find it helps to have a think about what targets are going to be the most attractive to your opponent and which ones are most important to you. But anyway have fun.
