after playing Fantasy for a while i deceided to start on 40k. Since I haven´t played many games yet I would like some critisism and advice on the list I am currently using.
Here we Go:
2x - 7 noise marines
- 5 sonic blasters
- Champion with doom siren
- 5 chosen (outflanking)
- 5 Meltaguns (very cheap unit and has never failed me yet )
- 5 terminators
- mark of slanesh
- Landraider (dedicated)
- 2 oblitorators
- Deamon prince with wings, lash and mark of slanesh
- Lord with Deamon weapon and mark of slanesh (goes into one of the noise marine units)
I've only played against regualar marines and Tau so I would like to know how you guys think this list will hold out against other army's and some advice on how to make it better/allrounder.
I will try those changes you recommended and see how well it goes.
Dropping the landraider (or at least deepstriking the terminators and keeping the landraider, not sure yet) and removing the lord will free up quite some points indeed.
Buffing up chosen with those points will make em last longer than one round. XD
One thing i keep wondering is, since you and many others have told me the same thing, why is everyone so keen on more than 2 troops? I understand its important to keep objectives but usually I kill all enemy units or enough that when he holds one objective I still outnumber in victory points. Mainly because those points are used fore more shooting/melee power in Heavy support/fast attack and elites.
Thanks for the critique.
Mainly because many games, if you draw, its just a draw, it does not go to victory points. Also, its better to hold both objectives than hold 1 and have more victory points left.
Troops are the backbone of any army, and now that only they can hold objectives (Combined with the fact that 2/3 of games are objective based) they are vital.
You cannot always rely on killing all troops, cause against horde armies chances are you won't be able to keep up and kill them all.
