I'm new to Chaos (I used to play Marines, but I've rebelled ^_^) and I play a lot of team games with my friends, usually with 2-3 players on each side. One thing I've noticed is that we always have more than enough troop choices because we still only need to claim or contest 3-5 objectives total between us. As a result, the players who seem to do best are the ones who spend more points on HQ/Fast/Elite/Heavy choices, since they don't have to worry as much about having enough troops.
I wanted to put together a list using all 4 Gods, and I'm trying to shy away from Lash, at least until I get better with Chaos. If I use lash in every army, I won't know if I'm getting better with Chaos, or just exploiting a cheesy rule to maximum effect.
Here's the list:
Demon Prince w/wings, warptime
6 Noise Marines w/Sonic Blasters
10 Chaos Marines w/2 melta, AC, MoCG, Powerfist, Rhino
5 Terminators w/4 combi-plasmas, 1 heavy flamer, chainfist
6 Chaos Marine Bikers w/Mark of Nurgle, 2 melta, AC, Powerfist
13 Raptors w/Mark of Khorne, 2 flamers, AC, Powerfist
I definitely want to try out the nurgle bikers [toughness 6] and assaulty raptors, but besides that, I was wondering how the list looks.

Well, first I wanted to welcome you to chaos.
Secondly criticisme: First you realy need more troops. As I think that your Deamon prince is to expensive for 1500 pts, I say drop the mark of Tzeentch and wind of chaos, maybe indeed make a lash prince. And I also think that the nurgle bikers are to expensive, so dump them for more troops, like plague marines. Then you still have a nurgle unit and a extra troop choice that realy helps in holding objectives.
Thanks for the feedback, but as I mentioned, I'm not that worried about troop choices in the team games. Last team game my side had around 14-15 troop choices to claim/contest 4 objectives with. The other side had only 8-9 troops, but they loaded up on expensive elite/HQ/Heavy units and overwhelmed us. In these types of games, I've found balance isn't quite as important as the ability to deal with many different types of enemy units, especially the kitted out, cheesy ones.
For this list I'm definitely not going to worry about using more than 2 troop choices. I'm more concerned if the army is balanced, and able to deal with overwhelmingly powerful enemies.
A cheaper alternative to the Tzeentch and Lash Prince is a Daemon Prince with MoN, Wings and whatever psychic power you feel like (Warptime is a good choice). Tough as nails and a beast in CC. Most things need 6s to wound so he can more than hold his own.
As far as the rest of the list goes Ill be honest-in a 1v1 game it would probably struggle.
Too many points tied up in fast attack and not enough troops. Now I know you have said you are comfortable with the amount of troops but no harm having another one at least- troops in the Chaos codex can be as hard-hitting as some elite units.
Currently play: 4000+ of Black Legion
Welcome battle brother.
Ok first thing. I do really think you need more troops. I play Iron warriors so dont really play with troops from the 4 gods. Dont get me wrong I love Nurgle and have a small army in the making, but alot of people forget bout the basic CSM.
Their cheap and with a champ plus IoGc in squad, their hard to break, I at least take 4 troops.
2nd I think your daemon prince is too many points. At end of day in my eyes a Hq does not win you games plus I always find a deamon prince draws to much fire power, but thats just me though. I usually take lord in Term Armour as he works well with Term Squad. But everyone to his own
I am that wolf you always hear, no matter were you are
Since everyone's mentioned that the Demon Prince is too expensive, I've cut him down to a basic prince with wings and warp time. Honestly, I don't care if my opponent targets exclusively upon him. That means they're not shooting at my bikes, raptors, or obliterators.
I've also switched out the small Noise marine unit in the rhino for a basic unit of chaos marines, as sort of an all purpose unit.
All I can say is that I'm not worried about troop choices. At our team games there's always more than enough for each side, since there's usually at least 3 people per side. I'm more worried about dealing with overpowerful units, and not knowing what type of army I'm going to face. In the group I normally play with, we have a person playing literally every type of army in the game (with the exception of some of the more obscure marine chapters).
I know this only leaves a single rhino in the list, but hopefully there's enough distractions to keep it from being offed too early.
I know it isn't all 4 gods anymore (sorry Tzeench, maybe next time ^_^), but how does it look now?
