1500pt Tzeentch Daemon Army (Advice Wanted)

Basically long story short: I’ve been converting a robotic renegade mechanicus cult force recently and was planning to use the Necron Codex for it. However the Necrons aren’t doing too good at the moment for competitive games and since most of the players I face have competitive armies I decided to create a 2nd list using the Daemon codex.
It seems the best solution as most of the robots I’ve built to represent Necron units can easily represent the Tzeentch daemons as well. For example the robot on the left represents a horror and the one on the right a flamer, meaning I don’t need to alter my models in any way.

Basically the list is based around what models I plan to build for my Necron army with the exception of the Screamers who I’ve already come up with a conversion for. It’s my first daemon army so I really need some feedback for it.

    HQ
    333- Fateweaver

    (Support the princes)

    ELITE
    105 – 3 Flamers Of Tzeentch
    105 – 3 Flamers Of Tzeentch

(Do some serious damage on a heavily armoured unit)

    TROOPS
    170 – 10 Horrors
    170 – 10 Horrors
    170 – 10 Horrors

(Your basic unit, appear and shoot or if there is enemy ordnance run and spread out)
    78 – 6 Nurgling Swarms
(Something to hold up devastators and other heavy weapon squads)

    FAST ATTACK
    48 – 3 Screamers

(Basic Tank hunting unit, if there are not tanks they'll hide and contest objectives.)

    HEAVY SUPPORT
    160 - Daemon Prince:
Deamonic Gaze, Bolt and Mark Of Tzeentch.
160 - Daemon Prince:Deamonic Gaze, Bolt and Mark Of Tzeentch.
(Main assault units their job is to draw fire away from the horrors)

    Total Pts: 1499
    Total No: 49 (3)
    Total Kill Pts: 11

What do you think to the list, also what should I include in my first wave? Is the list effective?

Also please no negative comments about my decision to use the models I have no intention of taking them to a tournament it’s just for friendly games at my local club so it shouldn’t a problem.

    99 – 3 Flamers Of Tzeentch

105 points for 3 not 99. I would recommend more of these

    TROOPS
    180 – 10 Horrors:
    1 Bolt of Tzeentch
    180 – 10 Horrors: 1 Bolt of Tzeentch
    180 – 10 Horrors: 1 Bolt of Tzeentch
would drop the bolts and use them for infantry let your screamers tank hunt
    65 – 5 Nurgling Swarms
    65 – 5 Nurgling Swarms

Can't score and won't be stealing objectives really they are good at tying up units.

    FAST ATTACK
    64 – 4 Screamers
    64 – 4 Screamers

I have found that squads of 3 work best at 48 points

    HEAVY SUPPORT
    135 - Daemon Prince:
Iron Hide and Mark Of Tzeentch.
135 - Daemon Prince: Iron Hide and Mark of Tzeentch.
with mark of T the iron hide is not needed better to take another shooting attack

    Total Pts: 1500
    Total No: 51 (3)
    Total Kill Pts: 11
Changes are in red. As far as tourneys you could run this list there. If there models are all recognizable to what they are counting as they should be fine. Here is what I would run with the included limit:

    Fateweaver
    333
    Herald of T-chariot-soul devourer
    85
    Herald of T-chariot-soul devourer
    85
(Heralds with chariot and soul devourer can really hurt other shooty units not able to take CC)

    Troops:
    6xhorrors w/changeling 107
    6xhorrors 102
    6xhorrors 102
    6xhorrors 102

    Elite:
    3xFlamers 105
    3xFlamers 105

    Fast Attack:
    3x screamers 48
    (Tank Hunters)

    Heavy Support:
1 Daemon Prince of Chaos Mark of T/Bolt of T/Daemonic Gaze
    160
1 Daemon Prince of Chaos Mark of T/Bolt of T/Daemonic Gaze
    160
(Transport and infantry/heavy infantry killing shooting and MC assaulting goodness)
    1494

    1st wave. Fateweaver/DP/DP/Horrors w/changeling/Horrors/Horrors
    2nd wave. Herald/Herald/Screamers/Flamer/Flamer/Horrors

I don't know why, but you always have a unit with the wrong points in every list

    scarabs in your necron list

flamers in this one (its 105 for 3) so you are actually 6 pts over

    onto th fixs

drop nurglings, swarms can't capture objectives so they do nothing here and they aren't tzeentch anyways

after dropping those, take another unit of flamers, thy're great

Also take the changling upgrade on one of your horror units, its an amazing upgrade for what little it costs

you also can think of dropping bolts off of the horrors, at BS3 its going to miss 1/2 the time. If your using it to hunt tank your wasting almost 200 points of your army for a 50% chance to hit a tank.

if you do that you can buy another horror for each unit or so shooting for your daemon princes

DPs should also drop iron hide since you have 4+ invul so its hardly worth it, take more weapons on them

I also find Screamers to be lack luster since most tanks will have moved and with 1A per screamer your not going to get alot of hits

Sorry I'm only human, I've corrected it now

Also I don't have models suited for representing heralds of tzeench on chariots so I can take them. Also I've improved the list a little following advice from other forums.

Though I am considering if the Fateweaver is too expensive for a 1500pt army and if I should replace it with a Lord Of Change?

I quite like this list, I've been looking into a Tzeentchian army for some time... the amendments are probably for the better. The Nurglings stick out to me, but on a tactical perspective it doesn't really matter, they'll do exactly what you want and create a nice tar pit.

By the way, I hate you... your models make me cry in shame when I look at my own, lol.

Kudos for the excellent counts-as army, they look impressive.

Well if the tanks are moving they are not shooting many shots and if they not shooting demons are not dieing. If they stop or get stunned or become immobile they will die and screamers are the most reliable Land Raider killer and tank popper that daemons have. They do one thing and they do it well point for point. The biggest thing is if you have them you can let your other units focus on anti infantry.

My opinion on screamers is from experience, they have never done everything against vehicles and have died with in a few turns, even though they make it into contact with vehicles

more fixes and comments, take plaguebearers over nurglings if you just want to capture objectives (since swarms can't capture objectives)

Lord of Change is too expensive for its out put also, the best Tzeentch HQ are Tzeentch heralds on chariots

As I've mentioned before I don't have a model nor a suitable conversion in mind that could represent such a unit.

As for the list I've replaced the Fateweaver with a Lord Of The Change and 1 extra horror for each squad and 2 extra screamers (so they can surive long enough to do their job), also I've replaced Deamonic Gaze with Unholy might they are my main assault units afterall.

I think some sort of flying barge with your buy standing on top would be neat. The barge could be very much robotic looking. So basically a flying platform with jets propelling it would be neat or being pulled by whatever you are using as screamers.

    The Final List?

Well here’s what I’ll be using for my first game (I think)…

    HQ
    285 – Lord Of Change:
Instrument Of Chaos and Breath Of Chaos
(A force to be reckoned with, he will likely support the deamon princes.)

    ELITE
    105 – 3 Flamers Of Tzeentch
    105 – 3 Flamers Of Tzeentch

(Do some serious damage on a heavily armored unit and hopefully survive for another killing spree)

    TROOPS
    195 – 10 Horrors:
    Chaos Icon
    195 – 10 Horrors: Chaos Icon
    192 – 11 Horrors: Changeling
(Dakka Dakka Dakka , the Changeling though good will certainally be a challenge to convert)

    FAST ATTACK
    48 – 3 Screamers
    48 – 3 Screamers

(Still unsure on if I should go for 2 squads of 3 since most armies will have a good amount of vehciles or to merge them into a unit of 5?)

    HEAVY SUPPORT
    160 - Daemon Prince:
Unholy Might, Bolt and Mark Of Tzeentch.
160 - Daemon Prince: Unholy Might, Bolt and Mark Of Tzeentch.
(Still my main assault and tank hunting units)

    Total Pts: 1493
    Total No: 41 (3)
    Total Kill Pts: 10

1st Wave: Lord Of Change, 3 Flamers, 10 Horrors with Icon, 3 Screamers and 1 Deamon Prince.
2nd Wave: 3 Flamers, 10 Horrors with Icon, 11 Horrors with Changeling, 3 Screamers and Deamon Prince.
